3. That Kim Kardashian's curves are rare.

Because it's fake...seriously that thing defies the laws of anatomy and physics

Ah yes...we finally have a list

And on the "They're not as popular as the big bosom" remark. I can't tell how much the guy talk around the water cooler here revolves more about ass then anything else. And I don't know what it is with the group of guys i work with, most of which are white, but they all seem to like the more curvacious form then the slim to modest roundness. I blame Kim K for giving those guys big-ass syndrome

I disagree... of course, it may not apply to every woman with big breasts but still.... I guess it's like wearing a heavy backpack on your chest.... although I can't realte to this feeling as I don't have big boobs

and again, not every D is big...

I would imagine they could be a load though I couldn't resist highlighting that you said you disagree and that you don't have big boobs in the same sentance . The love of my life had almost no boobs who would say they would have back problems all the time too. I know a lot of women who've had them for decades that would disagree with you both though as those examples weren't hypothetical . I know women who are retired with very large bosoms that have very active lives and no back problems and some young women who most people wouldn't consider to be big who have had the surgery due to back problems. If that were true, breast reduction would be more popular than breast enhancement. I know you say that a lot about D even though I never said they were big . I know why you would feel the need to add that though since most people think it is. Some people think C is big although warranted its probably bigger than most fashion models as most models known as the busty model are that size. The same cup probably looks bigger the skinnier you are though.

Its the same here about the guy talk at lunch breaks . That type of booty isn't unique where I grew up though and in some countries like Puerto Rico, some African countries and the Dominican Republic they're pretty common too but since there's so few big booty women on American television there are a lot of people that don't see that on a regular basis who think she's unique. What I find the most unique about her though is that I've never known a woman to have dated so many guys that I dislike . Her list of conquests seems to be a who's who of the douchebags of music and sports. Since you're a Taylor fan, I guess I could drive that home a bit more by pointing out that Kanye's ex-girlfriend says she caught him and Kim in the bed together more than once .

I like it much more than those faces drawings, Joe it seems you have a touch for animals, they are lovely eventhough they are "just" sketches. Keep on!! I wanna see more

Thanks for the keep on part . That you like the animals more is strange yet convenient. Strange because I just started animals and convenient because I really like animals. I must say though, I'm more at home with surrealism than real life things. What's really strange is that even though I have almost no control with my off hand, my 'modern' and surrealistic work comes out much better with my left hand.

As to my original goal when I started this (being able to illustrate my own stories) I've come to some pros and cons. The pros are I realized that I don't have to be Moebus to do it . Some of my favorite comics don't have stellar art and some of my favorite writers started off doing it all themselves and then got full time artists once they got established. The cons are that I've now realized that its so much work since my stories are in the hundreds of pages that I could finish three volumes in the time that it took to write and illustrate one .

Here's some with a mechanical pencil on printing paper. One is supposed to be my cat and the other a ferret of some kind.

Lovely Joe, why are the pictures so dark and dull? It´s because of the scanner?

I´m more at home with surrealism too - I´m happiest when I can invent animals, like dragons, e.g.

Dragon_red_upravene.jpg

I love dragons, and manga pictures

Do you draw comics? I´m very eager to see or read some of your stories and how about you and colours, Joe? Do you like to use them?

btw great list

LOL I figured you must be thinking that . I actually don't really know how to use my scanner well yet . They were taken with a camera and the lighting probably wasn't suited for it. I also didn't use my graphite or carbon pencils because I'm not well aquainted with them yet to know which is for what.

Glad you like it and amazing job ! Did you name him or her ? I'm glad you love surrealism too. I don't have my color supplies anymore. I left all of them with one of my bags down in Mexico somewhere . Of course, to be fair, I haven't yet learned to paint or watercolor drawn pictures anyway. I do love color though. I'll also post some of my favorite artist's work sometime .

Now that I work from homes most of the week. I cant tell you how much I miss going into the office. Who says guy talk is just useless squabble Well true that anything that isn't seeing by the eyes on a regular basis is going to seem out of the norm and "unique" to a certain extent. Ha, isn't it funny how u can hate someone, even though you shouldn't per-say, just because of the people one associates with or dates for that matter. It's an honour to be on the list Joe! I don't think I'm a hater by nature, it's just that Cheryl's voice carries a certain involuntary physical cringe factor for me.

I noticed you were as fair as you could be with your assessments, but its a hard subject to pass up at the same time . Her voice is pretty annoying though and she has a blandness about her that I find off putting somewhat like a manican or something.

That's true too, though I suppose in the world of popstars and celebrities, she's not alone in that. It's the incredibly affected way she speaks that sets her apart in the annoyance stakes for me. I was born maybe 10-15 miles away from where she grew up, so in no way am I biased against the fact she has a regional accent - but the way she over-annunciates every word just cuts through me. While the average north easterner might soften their accent slightly to make themselves understood, Cheryl just speaks slower, which makes her sound like someone from elsewhere doing an impression of a particularly slow geordie. But that's enough shooting fish in a barrell. Quit while you're ahead and all that!

Really though, backlashes in general get on my nerves. People who dislike Justin Bieber, for instance, seem to spend as much, if not more time and energy thinking about him than the people who actually like him. It's gotten to the point where I can't work out if sentiments towards him are genuine, or just amplified in order to annoy those of a differing opinion.

Yeah, but I'm a girl so I'm more inclined to say I know what I'm talking about :morning: Breast reduction is far less popular cause let's be real, having big boobs has a lot of profits although of course they may be a disadvantage too. I know about a woman who wanted to have a breast reduction and the doctor she came with this problem to said she was the first woman who wanted her breast to be made smaller granted it was at the beginning of the 90s, so since that time breast reduction could get more popular...

Gosh Baron, I've never heard anybody use the word Anodyne in my life :!

^I suppose one becomes 'media-savvy' after time and, true, stoopid questions don't help - but it's pretty anodyne.

Contrast that with this gem. When I watched your video there it put me in mind of this from when I first saw it on ftv way back when (10 years ago? Seriously? ), here Anne is just about the cutest thing in the world with her fringe and straight-outta-Gorky accent, particularly at the 1 minute mark when she gets coy about her driver...

Anyway, it stuck in my head - so I just looked it up on YouTube for you!

Awesome, so Anne grew up? Girl to woman..!

Yeah, it definitely has an Americanized touch to it I guess because she's been around here so long. Interresting enough Irina is the Russian my favorite Russian model to hear talk because her lively personality is the antithesis of what's expected of Russians who are usually stereotyped as not showing emotion. It seems to me that Valentina has a friendly personality although when she laughs her eyes don't move :| which kindof creeps me out but she does try so I give her that.

Her mannerisms, facial expressions, turns of phrase, etc. are so American that the 'sexy Russian accent' I was expecting didn't materialize...! It does take away some of that mystique.

It will definitely become more popular and I'm sure there are quite a few who will suffer through for their own vanity. I'd be on board with you if you were saying many of them will, but I'm always warry of people that say "all" in reference to a whole group of people especially if there's nothing concrete to verify it. We can't even say whether all old men need Viagra or not. Its just too big of a world with too many different people. I know some women who have had the surgery and I also know women in my own neighborhood and family in their 70s with DD-G sized boobs jogging and gardening every day. On top of that my bosses mother is busty in her 60s and does ten flights of stairs every morning. By the way they wine at sprained ankles, I doubt they could fake not having a hurt back. In a world where there are men that can turn over cars and ten year olds that deliver babies, it shouldn't be too big of a stretch that there are some women that can haul around their boobs without problems. On top of that, they even make specialized bras now that can redistribute the weight to lighten the load for women who aren't on the level of those examples. Aside from all of that, I can think of quite a few women whose looks would be improved by a reduction whether they have back problems or not.

Yeah, but I'm a girl so I'm more inclined to say I know what I'm talking about :morning:

Well, at least you're honest about it .

So Joe I guess you don't venture into the Music threads much, so I wanted to post these here to see what you think, being a) an admirer of Beyonce and b) slightly wary of cross-genre covers

I'll have to get back to you on that when I get my headphones although I'll have to clarify a few things.

- I don't like Beyonce's solo music . I like the fact that she's a famous person who's nice and from my town and I admire her voice (great tone, good control, powerful and at least 3.5 octave range) but not the actual music.

- I love cross genre remakes. I generally don't care for rap and hip hop being translated into singing though and sometimes slang terms can come off a bit Boonesque for me. Overall, its kindof a case by case basis though and more about the artist doing it than the genre they're from.

Its ironic that she annunciates so much but they still use subtitles for her over here . That is interresting about the haters though. I must say that I don't really hate any celebrities really. Some get on my nerves and I'd like to never see them again if I could help it and I love making fun of them but I really don't know them personally. Its hard enough getting around with the people we know to make enemies of people we may never even have a conversation with . Even with sports oriented rivalries, it stays on the field and court for me.

In terms of music & art, my voice and singing abilities were also noticeably above-average.... but also totally undeveloped. Growing up, I was literally forced. against my will, to spend huge amounts of time training on the Violin. But I neither enjoyed it nor had much native skill in it. I was probably only 'average' in native skill, but pure blunt force in training & private instruction made me one of the best ones in the my full orchestra & chamber strings.

Seriously though, I definitely wouldn't call any talent useless (in your case you could even draw the models you like if you wanted) although artistic talent without ideas or passion has no value for me though.

I didn't draw very often, but I generally drew 3 things: Cartoon characters as a kid and soldiers or models as an adolescent. I would rip out pages from magazines- usually women's advertisements and draw their faces. I admired a beautiful woman's face and figure very early on in my life. I could copy photographs somewhat well, but in a very blunt way...I had no training so my shading was usually awkward. My free-hand drawing was very 'comic book'- a mixture of American-style drawing/Japanese style/and realism.

I drew these stuff like this more often though: To most people, it doesn't mean much, but to me, it was history come alive. My urges to draw were generally during my readings of military history:

Samples (not mine, of course).

post-40981-1330318941_thumb.jpg

post-40981-1330319130_thumb.jpg

I would only draw the people, and I would focus on the faces. There would be, of course, a mixture of source material and modifications if need be. I loved the 'osprey' series and the illustrations. They were very descriptive source material and I learned to have full understanding of all related military equipment and its function in battle.

I focused on the 20th century, and all wars. Favorite subjects: US Army & Marines WW1-WW2-Korea-Vietnam, German Army WW1-WW2, Soviet Army WW2.

I know some people who go as far as to do family portraits and such for money and make quite a bit doing it, but don't have any love or joy in art in general. They definitely have much more skill than me, but I definitely wouldn't trade places with them. Even with writing, I'd rather have average writing ability with passion and unique ideas than be just another professor who can write a good essay. That's not to say I feel as inferior to the professor's wrigint skill as the previously mentioned artist's drawing and painting skill though. On the drawing end, I've never really taken much interrest into drawing things I see or real world things until now because I'd like to transistion into graphic novel wriging and I figure if I could get some basic real world things down, I could cut out the middle man (the illustrator) since I like to write about fantasy and real world things in contrast to preferring to draw mostly fantasy things.

I had a feeling that was the case.. that's why I used the word 'admirer' rather than 'fan'

Good to know too. I just remember you being down on the Blasko cover of Outkast that time, and couldn't remember exactly why.. but that explains things

Interested in your thoughts anyway, especially with the first - I think I've posted Anna Calvi in your thread before and you didn't like her, but we shall see <_<

Joe, learn to use that scanner please!! I want to see scans, the quality is incomparable!! And the best way to learn to use graphite or carbon pencils is to actually use them you just have to try, that´s all

Did you like it? no, I did not name him (I guess it´s him? Dunno about that too) but it´s a drawing I really like... one of the few, frankly.

I´m looking forward to your fav works how about colour pencils combined with markers? I used them quite often, it´s an interesting combination.
