^Sorry? What was that?
I nodded off there...

I'm not sure whether the male polls are popular enough or whether there are enough of them to justify the space. On the other hand, it could be that if it were organized to that degree that more people would make use of them. I'lll see what I can do
.

^Ana I adore you for this idea. We have so many stupid members because every Tom, Dick and Harry can become one easily.

Yanno I'm honestly not a fan of the Elder Scrolls series. I played Skyrim for awhile but I found the game to be utterly boring, plus with the amount of glitches I found I think it helped contribute to my dislike of the game as an overall.
The pacing of the game is a little slow but I don't think you're supposed to rush through it in the first place lol. Graphical it's stunning - actually it's almost on par with EVE.
7/10. Not bad, not great. Decent, just not for me.

A show about Meth turns into a great love story.
Welcome to the best 10 seconds of your life

I've been on the corporate and farm end and I must say that there's sides of both that aren't pretty. I consider myself a country person, but there are some practices there that I am ashamed of (such as growth hormones, pesticides in foods, skimping on humane methods of 'putting down' that are actually very cheap, tranquilizers, 90% of our corn, grain and oats being fed to livestock when we have veterans on the street and so forth). On the other hand, with organic being the craze now and childhood obesity in this country at an all time high, those with more natural practices will get more attention, but with their products costing more, the average person will still take the other. They'll likely need to lower their prices to be more competitive. I guess I don't have to expound on the corporate side, although it did make me aware of how many people take the time to buy expensive suits, but don't wash their hands
.
I'm guessing this is another discussion than the prior- but as far as companies go, I am adept at gathering information, valuing and modeling the financials of private and public firms, and building analyses & policy recommendations for trading and investment purposes. That's what I do. I also actively trade my own account. I also understand how the C-suite thinks and how they talk, along with how the financial markets work (in this case, equity and debt capital, as well as the use of derivatives on their balance sheets) as well as the implications of corporate finance transactions and corporate strategic policy.
You seem to believe in the ideology of liberal humanism. Overall, 'moral' standards are a luxury that comes with capital accumulation. And that makes things better over time. I believe that liberal humanism is the most logical and least bankrupt of the three main American social ideologies (the others being libertarianism and Christian conservatism). But I also believe that it is an improbable ideal, and as time goes by, it's been able, led by liberal arts academia- to expand its influence from humanism to environmentalism and other sectors of advocacy that simply stretches the realm of the possible.
I am old-school- I think humanism is fine in narrowly intellectual terms as an ideal, but beyond that, I don't care much at all about neither the environment nor animal/plant life.
American people could be more 'heroic' and 'progressive', but that's not the basis of the nation, the economy, and its institutions. And that's definitely a good thing versus the polar opposite. The last 'heroic' society in western civilzation was the Second Reich, and it didn't end well. But I for one, would like to see more heroism, even if I myself am too greedy to be heroic.
didn't think you had a problem with my post size. My only concern was that the ignore rate of my two sentence posts is pretty high outside of personal threads, so when I see that a post has become more than a paragraph, I tend to try to edit it to make it shorter. Even though it took no real effort (as with essay assignments, I've always written twice as much as is required), I just don't think its worth it especially seeing as how I'm not ignored in everyday life.
I don't think that you need to edit anything.
That's good news about Karlie though, although I had to double take on that one because I thought it was part of your sig at first. I've never heard her talk, but she showed at lot of personality when I saw her on the runway and figured that would open doors for her. I personally think models will have to do more hosting now seeing as how as looks become more and more the standard for singers and actresses, models will likely have to do more to stand out.
I'd be interested in seeing youtube clips of her hosting the show- for the sake of curiosity more than anything else :-p

LOL @ those videos
. They definitely all wore it better than Gaga
. Yeah, Warcraft definitely looks like a more fast paced kindof game. I did hear about the glitch thing with the other one too as I remember one of my friends saying he got stuck behind a tree or something
.
Well, I'm glad you respect heroism anyway ![]()
. I do happen to love animals, but I love people more and we're the ones getting screwed moreso. One doesn't have to care about animals or nature to see that the American beef industries practices over the last fifty years has been both a detriment to our economy and a colossal waste of our resources. We argue over whether to cut the taxes of the rich or middle class while feeding 85% of our corn, soy beans, wheat and grains to cows. In America, it takes almost twenty pounds of food that is edible to humans to produce only one pound of beef. That's several times more food than it takes to produce a pound of pork, turkey or chicken meat. Over time, its taking more to feed them because we're making them bigger with unnatural hormones. You speak of fallen civilizations when ironically, many great civilizations have fallen due to topsoil erosion. We've now caused over 70% of our nation's topsoil depletion with our modern livestock raising methods. There's also even regulations now on how many times you can water your yard in many states because there's such a premium on water now, whereas it takes several hundred gallons of water to produce only one pound of beef. Even if I hated animals, my stance wouldn't be altered any. The growth hormones we feed them have also been linked to various diseases along with premature development. Before these hormones, the average American started puberty at 14-16 believe it or not. Now, those chemicals have gotten so immersed in our DNA that many start puberty at as young as 8 years old now. Early pubic development is also linked with several longterm diseases. So all in all, what was designed to save money (making them grow faster) is instead costing us more money. Because they're bigger, they require more food. The food they require takes away from food that we could be eating. Because they're bigger, they require more water, which takes away from the water we could be drinking, washing ect. with. As a result of the chemicals, over 60% of them are diseased and because of the pesticides, the food they eat is diseased. All of those chemicals pass to the people that eat them. The money that it takes to treat the diseases that result in making them bigger alone far exceeds any money ever saved from simply getting them to the market faster. I'm not even suggesting that we become a nation of vegetarians by any stretch of the imagination. As a matter of fact, by contrast, one of our biggest crimes was our waste of the Buffalo. Of course, it was primarily a crime because it was for the purpose of starving the Natives and cheating us of a great animal in general, but also because it was a waste of resources as well. Not only could we have been eating their meat, but their milk is not only better than cow's milk, but twice as time and resource efficient. Anyway, as to the not suggesting part, I am however saying that decreasing our reliance on cows by even 10% would make and save us a whole lot of money annually. On top of that, more organic methods being more of a requirement than luxury would drastically cut down on medical expenses as well which would save us even more money. All in all, its not an issue of ideology or sentiment, but strictly business. To further show that my feelings on this aren't based on animal sentiment, I feel more sorry for the shell fish that are cooked alive, but won't have a soap box about it
. With our cows on the other hand, some of them are living better than a lot of working class people.

Sure thing
. As to the IQ test thing, on my end some of the worst members ever have been pretty smart
. Well, the same thing would probably go for some of the worst human beings ever as well come to think of it.

Weirdest Threads
I was going to talk about what I hate most about being a staff member, but decided to focus on one of the points (you have to visit threads you don't want to) instead. Some threads get weird when one person tries to take over in a bad way. However, they usually just get banned and everything goes back to normal. The really weird threads are the ones that breed weirdness at a rate that you really can't do much about.
Megan Fox Thread (during her 15 seconds minutes) - what was interresting about this thead was the fact that during her short reign of popularity, the thread was basically a courtroom. Someone would say she needs some acting lessons or that she said something stupid, three people would defend her and that would go on for several pages and it just kindof went on like that. On the bright side, unlike some of the others, it provided some unintentional humor in the process.
Leo Thread - before BZ, I just assumed Leo was a thing back in the 90s and was mainly known as the good thirty something actor with the fifteen year old voice now a days. At least I don't hear women raving about him in everyday life although there is somewhat of a cultural barrier between me and BZ members. Even so, when interracting with different groups, I still don't hear it. That said, the intensity of his fanbase here came as somewhat of a shock to me, especially since actors aren't that popular here in general. As a result of that last fact, he isn't higher only because the females have more fans and thus more pages.
Candice Thread - I have a feeling it may not have even peaked yet. I'd imagine if she gets just one mainstream gig (Transformers 5, guest star or some popular show) while managing to still model, all bets are off. I don't visit the thread if I don't have to, but in those forced visits, its hard to even scan without seeing words such as 'divine' 'icon' 'goddess' ect. Despite being very difficult to work with, she has nice eyes, nice abs, big hips and amazing lips to be sure, but I can't quite go there with them. Maybe if she added ten pounds, a dynamic singing voice and rhythmic gymnast flexability to the table I'd concede, but as it stands, way too much.
Adriana Thread (04-09 especially) - not much needs to be said there. In the history of BZ, no model has as great of a combined total of hardcore fans and hardcore haters. Some of the hate was likely intensified by the overbearing nature of the fans. If you were to list the all time weirdest posts in BZ history, that thread would likely be sited quite frequently.
Bar Thread - I know this may be somewhat of an upset seeing as how the Adriana fans are the BZ standard of lunacy, but the fact that the Bar thread at its worst had the crazy Leo fans mixed in put it over the top. On top of that, it didn't even have the funny kindof crazy that the Adriana thread sometimes had.

^Joe, to this list I'd add Doutzen Kroes thread, sirca 2007 if I'm not mistaken. Sadly (
) the posts I am about to describe were gone due to Bellazon's Biggest Crash to date. Anyway, there was one girl who asked if Doutzen poops, and if she does, then it must smell like yasmin
then several members came at her saying that she's out of her mind thinking she's some kind of goddess and surprise! she does other hygienic things, like the rest of us mortal humans. Then some guy put his two cents in this discussion talking about the number of times he poops and why this number is healthy or something. Another thing from Doutzy's thread was when one girl (I'm not sure if she wasn't the same one from poop discussion, but because of the Crash
we won't find it again, anymore) said she met Doutzen and asked her if she's a virgin and Kroes was of course mad that she got asked such a personal question and the girl said she was surprised she didn't want to answer. Then other members came at the girl asking how could she ask such a personal question. Oh and one more thing! Although I am not sure if it's not there (in DK's thread I mean) still. There was a photo of Doutzen from some photoshoot in a swimsuit where she was wearing a one-piece swimsuit and I think it looked like she was about to place her hand between her thighs? Then one girl wrote something like "Oh, I also like to put my hand on my pussy when it's cold" ![]()
Now that I think about it, these post looked very similar to something a SavagePlant or **Emerald would write.....

LOL
! I laughed at all that so hard

. Yeah, I'd have to actually put her thread in Megan's spot and move Megan right behind her's just by virtue of the fact that not only were the posts crazier, but she has a more long lasting popularity. I think Pretty told me that the Emily, Sara and Erin threads are crazy too, but I haven't seen much of them. Actually, I started to avoid the Emily thread early on because I saw where it was going. On the opposite side, I must say that of the subforum models, Petra's fans seem by far the most normal to me. That is the fans in the actual thread as I can't vouch for her fans in Babe Polls mind you. I'm kindof glad Jaggy didn't get too commercial (well, partially because I find high fashion work more interresting at face value) so she didn't join the group
.

^Behati's thread recently suffered a bout of such insanity when the Adam Levine mob arrived. I think, in general, she's not a model who inspires this rabid fandom - I'm not foolish enough to put her in the bracket of Adriana/Bar/Megan popularity wise - but taking up with that tool obviously led to a sudden interest in her from new quarters.
They arrived and started posting utter crap and furious conjecture, mostly just about Adam Levine anyway, and then proceeded to start an online discussion about what sexual favours they were going to perform on each other before other members complained - leading to a thread clean and this absurd retort: I post whatever I want, and Adam or not, he is the new pair of Behati and the fans deserve to know who she is dating. It does not fill the bag. Then: I'm just confirming that she is with him, I think it unnecessary to lack of education. And then: I'm not a fan of the new Adam, nor of Behati, I'm a fan of them for years. I am user has little time here. HERE. (These are three separate posts) Which would carry more weight perhaps if the member wasn't called adamlevine!
It was brief, but it was a tragic episode in that thread's history. Thankfully the main culprits moved on just as quickly as they arrived (though I still see them lurking from time to time, and I see all manner of nonsense posted on other blogs and tumblrs regarding their relationship and it's "effect" on Anne V - still - when I'm looking for relevant things); but I shudder to think how it could be and how those other threads remain in such a state of turmoil! There but for the grace of God go I... ![]()

Sorry that it came around to another one of yours, though
@ the 'in the thread's history.' What you said about her not being the type to naturally summon those types brings me to a question. The question being, what is 'it' that attracts these kinds of people
? By that I mean aside from dating someone famous who already has crazy fans of course. In those situations, it doesn't matter much who the model is. Some on the other hand seem to just attract such types naturally regardless of who they're dating and I've yet to put together what it is they all share in common. I'm sure one of the actual culprits would say because they're so beautiful, but there are equally beautiful models who even get lots of work that still don't inspire such lunacy. At first I thought in the case of Adriana that at least she was kindof unique looking regardless of one's take on her beauty, but apparently every dark hair, light eyed woman 'looks' like her
...Anyway, taking the dating a famous person out of it, VS seems to be a common variable, but then Bar has crazy fans that actually don't like Leo to make that one even more interresting. On top of that, not only do these inspire such crazy types, but when the old ones leave, new ones just take their place right after.

Panda's are going really well Joe
Pheno Pretty and I are all at or just about at 90

I take it that must be some kindof warcraft code language
. Either way, I can at least see that you're excited, so congrats

Things I thought I invented that already existed
As a boy, one of my backup dreams was to become an inventor. Those dreams were later crushed when I found
out that the majority of those inventions were either illegal or already on the market.

Oh, and you suddenly have 141 thousand views do you?
Hmmm...

"Calling Obama a 'black Muslim' is the dumbest thing to come out of Madonna's mouth since Britney's tongue"
-Chelsea Handler
Got to admit I didn't enjoy "Chelsea Lately" as much as I used to but since the past 1 or 2 weeks it gets me laughing hard again. For example this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujVtWvWFY_E
and they are moving to the new studio and supposedly 50 Cent will be interviewed some time in October...
I really can't wait to see it, could be... interesting, to say at least.
