^That just gave me a sudden flashback to Captain Pugwash

And yeah, I have heard of him and happen to be a fan . Its great to go to sleep to as well as the "dreamscapes" genre

Awesome

Have you seen him perform live?

Never heard of the show , but interresting . Well...if you mean in concert...no . I have to either really love someone or go along as someone elses idea or a date to go to concerts .

Ah, the ukelele . I was engaged in a lengthy argument the other day about what is the most underrated instrument. He said the ukelele, I said I could respect his opinion, but that its at least had some love from various artists over the years. I say it has to be either the bagpipe or the accordion. These are instruments with a lot of ability and possiblity that you don't see many artists incorporating...
^Then maybe you need to come here, Joe - I can assure that after a week or so here you'll have had enough accordion to last you a lifetime...

Well, technically, it's called a 'bandoneón' - and it belongs to the concertina family as opposed to strictly being an accordion. But they're all free-reed instruments and sound pretty much the same. Anyway, it's part of the 'typical orchestra' that plays tango music (which you cannot escape from - no matter how hard you try... ), and it's like 'muzak' on the streets of Buenos Aires.

(No, that's not me! )

Oh, sure it isn't , j/k . Actually I hear them quite a bit here too, only I haven't seen them incorporated in mainstream music. But that info about its family is interresting, I love tidbits like that you can go ahead and compare the violin to the viola the next time you're in the mood . Sure I could pobably look that up, but I could also shop online rather than go to the mall .

But in general guys, I know this may be a lame question , but from a tourism perspective, if someone were to visit your respective countries for a week, what would you say would be the top 5 draws for lack of better word, or top 5 things they just have to do or see and also good things that they'll automatically see ?

I think it was a British show. It hasn't been in my consciousness for god knows how long.. but that accordion just brought it out in an instant. All those kids TV theme tunes stay so well ingrained

I love live music.. I try to go whenever I can

You should try to get along to see him some time if you like his music.. he tours a lot. He's just a really great performer, plus I think he's one of those artists who has to be seen in person to fully appreciate, especially because of how strange and unique his music is, as well as the ambience that goes with it. Do you know about his Magic Boot too?

I'm really liking this Ingrid Michaelson by the way.. thanks for the introduction

Thanks ! That's one of the videos on my profile page, glad you like it . I almost died when I heard it the first time . That song means a lot to me because it came out right when I thought R&B was on life support, well it still is, but heck of a song anyway, probably my favorite of the 21st century .

Even though I'm not the biggest concert fan, that is enticing donbot, I guess I'll have to give it some thought then :morning: . As to Ingrid, she doesn't have a big fan base, but a faithful one. Her closest thing to a commercial hit is "Take Me the Way I Am" I guess you might want to check that out .

^What a pro walking behind her.. he didn't even flinch

Everyone's going crazy for that Cee-Lo Green song.. it's so awesome and catchy

I actually heard the censored version on commercial radio (:yuckky:) at work the other day.. the chorus goes "forget you, and forget her too". Lame

Ah yes, I know that song now. Been listening to a couple of her albums a lot the past couple of days

^LAME!

No, you know Joe - here it's all about the beef a la parrilla and the tango... 1188argentina.gif I'd also recommend going to La Bombonera to see Boca Juniors play (but don't take anything valuable, you'll likely get mugged), the vineyards of Mendoza for the malbec, and the beaches of Mar Del Plata for the women... And, naturally, the company of El Caballero Franco De Palermo - my 'other' title here! 1062wine.gif

Awww I guess British models aren't so bad after all . Which reminds me, I was meaning to tell you (and might as well tell Layla too), if you haven't already, I think you should invest in mace. Some assume its costly, but you can get it for as little as 12$ and you can even get one small enough to fit on your key chain for as little as $8, pick it up today, don't delay .

And @ Baron , that's one heck of a pitch (Y) !

^You don't see it? I think you're very similar around the eyes/eyebrows, and even lips. All you need is freckles on your nose

That's most people's reaction once they lay their eyes on the Big Orange

We do think alike very often don't we. You know, we're like buds on here but I dont know anything about you such as, where you're from, how old you are, do you go to school/work? Joe, you're a mysterious one.
