NO NO NO NO!!! NO O FACE!!!!
This is an O face...

well,it's betta than John Mayer's O face...

You know, I'm really good at all the initial stages. Eye contact, smiling, breaking the ice, talking. My weakness. I find it very difficult to be explicitly 'romantic' without being awkward. In other words, I can have a girl acting really friendly... really hot girl, I mean, but then I can't bring myself to ask for her number, or hint that I'm interested in a more-than-friends way.
Yesterday.
There's this HOT chick who works at a Best Buy. Not surprisingly, I have been shopping there a little more often. Anyway, I'd made eye contact with her a few times before, and then 3 days ago we got into conversation, and she seemed really friendly (even if not overtly throwing herself at me), but she kept coming back to talk to me, during like two hours of me browsing the store.
But then at the end, I couldn't make myself ask for her number... Partially because I was wondering whether she had tried to hint at me to stop earlier, when talking to another customer, and I jokingly pointed a digital camera at her (I'd said she's very photogenic a few times, which kinda made her blush), so I pointed a camera at her for a second, and she looked away/giggled/shielded her face then this other customer (her old history teacher) said "Do you know him?" (I think they knew I could hear), and then she said "no, we only just met", and he says "that's kinda weird. but I guess you get that a lot [the implication being, because she is so pretty... which is, in itself a weird comment for a teacher to make]" and she says "Well, we're trained to bond with the customers to get the sale"... which is like saying "I'm not really being friendly, I'm just acting..." which totally threw me off. She did come back, though and resume conversation... Me be confused now. The question is, would it be too awkward to go back tomorrow morning and ask for her phone number or email. It's a difficult decision. Especially because I'm leaving Dallas for who knows how long, tomorrow night. ![]()

if she came back and talked to you and there was no sale involved, id say go for it... people in sales are trained to act a certain way with the customers, this is true...but it doesnt mean that they dont truly find themselves attracted to a customer... ive bartended off and on for years and i know in my experience what i say is true. and anyway, seeing as how your going out of town tomorrow is EXTRA reason to say 'fuck it' and ask...
Even if it's with a total stranger,is it advisable?

I was talking about this with a friend (male) of mine and he said that the best line to pick up girls is: "Hi, I'm [name]". It always works!
Most girls don't need pick up lines! We just need you to be yourselves ![]()

As someone who has used that line about 15000 times, I can attest to the fact that it only works if the girl is already into you before you approach her. Otherwise you'll get shot down just as quickly as when you used some cheesy pick-up line.

@ [solo]:
I think you should just give it a try the next time you're in the store.
Ask her if she wants to grab a coffee during her break or something like that.

Dude, I can personally attest, if you have the formula, you can get nearly any girl you want, no matter if you're good looking or not.
Ask yourself a few questions... what are my strong points, what are my weak points? Do I work out? Do I dress appropriately, do I groom, what would suit me, etc., etc. And that's only the start. I've seen ugly ass guys, 5"5, (but ripped... remember, getting ripped only takes a 8 week workout), very ugly, picking up 8s and 9s.
I'm neither good or bad-looking. I just "look". ![]()
Anyways, I'm not looking to "bag myself an 8 or a 9". I'm coming to an age where I'd like to meet someone for a real, meaningful relationship.
