^Ulp - does that count as nudity? I can never tell... I guess we'll find out soon enough.

It's just a holiday snap of me and Ophelia though.

You can put anything for me after that you could also teach me more Spanish I´m quite lost in it right now. Too many tenses, don´t know where to use them properly

Baron, the thing I loved about Tarantino´s Basterds - that he used a native actors for the roles. Like German playing German, French playing French, Brit playing Brit and Americans playing Americans - and then there was this amazing villain Christoph Waltz who I hated from the very beggining of the movie, speaking French, German, English, Italian... he was gorgeous. The whole movie was gorgeous. I so so so loved that Tarantino didn´t use only American / Brittish actors to play foreigners, that actually they didn´t all speak English, and that it was international

^Ah, me and the good Cap'n Icey do like a bit of Christoph ourselves!

You can get by in spanish with just past/present/future. All the other tenses are 'gilding the lily'. When you speak it naturally (so to speak) you don't even know what those tenses are, same as in english. I couldn't tell you if I was addressing you in the pluperfect, unless a linguist told me!

Oh, he´s one gorgeous actor indeed I´ve always loved good villains - like the nurse in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest". I hated her from the very beginning, she was evil as hell

I know the case, still it´s hard to learn for a foreigner for you it´s natural, for me it´s like "and now, which one to use?" and Japanese language is wonderful, though really hard.

^Actually, that's a mash-up of two older videos - both of which have a place on my hard-drive!!! But, as always, it's the thought that counts. iconsalute3.gif

I'm about to embark on learning japanese myself, tentatively at least... I'm hoping to go and visit for a few months later in the year - and meet up with that girl I was seeing from Tokyo last year. I've just bought a phrases CD and dictionary to start me off, and I hope to attend some classes when I go. I know it's going to be tremendously complicated, but I figure if I at least show some willing...

Well, I hope that works out . Did you speak the language (or just get by on your sexuality ) of that place you lived where they misrepresented in that movie that time? I know that may be vague, but I forgot the place and the movie . *edit* Yeah, I think Transformers was the movie .

^Don't think I didn't notice that little bit of self-promotion there!

I didn't see the OSCARS, as they were on pay-per-view here, sadly I missed your livestream... I did watch a little of the 'red-carpet' business earlier though. My god, did you see that Jennifer Lawrence lady (anyone)? She knows how to wear a dress!

^I'm prepared for the Japanese language headache! It's the alphabet that's worrying me - not only is it (obviously) completely different, but there's not even just the one!!!

I know what you mean about tenses - I was trying to say that as a native speaker of any language you just take things as read. You don't necessarily know the intricacies of your own language, it's only when you learn another that you even realise the names of all these tenses and when you use them!

And yeah, good villains make for great films. One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest is one of my favourites too - and Nurse Ratchet is a bitch. I liked Commodus in Gladiator too (boo, hiss). And I really like Mr. Potter in It's A Wonderful Life - which I think is extra special in that there is no retribution. He gets away with being a shit come the film's end! Sure, it's still a 'happy' ending - but the villain is never brought to justice, and you imagine he'll carry on being that git until he dies...

^JaJa - Muslim states are not, by and large, places where it's advisable to try and get by just 'on your sexuality'!!!

But, yes, I did speak the language. I was living in Qatar, and I went to school there for 5 years and had to learn arabic. I remember very little now, truth be told. I can still count numbers and understand general greetings, questions, directions etc. Also as (unfortunately) is often the case, I can now grasp the anti-western rantings of soon-to-be-toppled megalomaniacal dictators in their grandstanding speeches too... <_<

Just about

Dunno what that's about.. one of their other songs I guess. Haven't heard of them before this. It did remind me of this dig at Oasis from some years ago though, by the mighty Tripod

I've seen the re-runs of "Live from the red carpet" and Jennifer was one of the first stars there... and yeah, she looked good! Although the dress reminded me of the dress Scarlett Johansson wore to Golden Globes a few years ago... btw, I didn't think ScarJo looked good and who was her date? Her brother?

^ Would you say somebody really stood out though? I mean, sure, there were maybe 2 or 3 people with not so nice outfits, but, to me at least, no dress/outfit really stood out. I agree about Golden Globes though-I still can't believe why Michelle Williams chose that godawful dress in flower prints :x and to think it was by Valentino.... Garavani shouldn't have retired, not yet at least

^Yeah - JENNIFER LAWRENCE!!!

I see what you mean about the Scarlett Johansson dress but, to be honest, I pay little attention to who's wearing what and that whole circus that feeds off these 'Red Carpet' winners/losers... Naturally I've got myself a list (in order) of actresses I'd gladly escort to such functions , but I've always been more interested in models by and large.

Although I've never seen her in anything at all, or was even aware of her existence before 2011, I have noticed Ms. Lawrence this award season - looking fantastic at each event. And she didn't let me down yesterday:

^Well they showed scant originality throughout their career, didn't they?!! From their 2nd album onwards all they did was attempt (and fail) to emulate The Beatles anyway...

Once again you show yourself to be a man of impeccable taste, Baron!

I was lucky enough to see "Winter's Bone" by chance last autumn and reserved my spot on the Jennifer bandwagon straight afterwards. Needless to say, the prospect of her playing Mystique has well and truly tipped my excitement for the new X-Men movie over the edge.

How did you like this movie? Most comments about it I've seen so far praised Jennifer's acting skills but the movie itself has opinion of boring....

(Unfortunately?) all I know about J.Lawrence so far comes from 'gossip sections' that she said "she has a red neck thing going on....she's attracted to her brother" (or something very similar to this ) and she's currently dating Nicholas Hoult-who, I believe, will also be in this X-Men. Oh and she's in this movie by Jodie Foster, co-starring Anton Yelchin and Mel Gibson.

Ok, well, let's say it's my gossip/filmography knowledge about her
