I must admit I kindof shamed myself a bit. I haven't had much bacon since that pig I befriended died, but a friend of mine offered me a bacon burger and I devoured it in an animalistic kindof way . I was on that thing like a prisoner alone with a VS model on visiting day or something. I guess maybe that's what a vampire trying to abstain must feel like I guess .

^Yeah, I went "veggie" for a while when I was a teenager (it was probably something to do with a girl! ) but it just didn't sit well. And one day I was walking past this place with chickens turning on a spit outside, and I just had to... I gorged on that thing like Obelix eats wild boar in the Asterix books (if you know them?) - best damn chicken I ever ate! msn12.gif

Barron! I've been traumatized for the week or three.

I just had some guy ask me if I'd like to work for him.... as in a HOOKER. Or rather a "Call Girl".. O.O

He said he'd take care of me, I'd get to meet some interesting and extremely important people, that he'd get me whatever I wanted and all he asked was for a "sample"... and of course a AIDS test/visit to my gyno for a check up he'd pay for if I didn't have insurance.

wtf!

One kindof random thought, though the interpretation of Rosie is probably as wide as that of any model on BZ, I bet both sides can probably agree this is probably still one of the sexierst model videos .

^Weirdly, when I was a young buck in London some ten years ago, I was approached to be a male-escort!!! I guess at first I was flattered, and went to their offices and even had a "date" set up. But I couldn't go through with it: nerves got the better of me and I figured this was but a small step into a lifestyle that would end up with me hustling at glory-holes off of the motorway! :yuckky:

That all said - you best quit your yabbing bitch and put that mouth where the money be made... pimpm.gif

You see this sort of thing comes naturally - it's on the Fratton coat-of-arms:

^Well, you know where I fall per the Rosie divide - so objectivity goes out of the window! Interestingly, words are harsh regarding her (so far) non-participation in this year's VSFS - at least in an "Angel" capacity. As ever, when models 'crossover' into other fields (particularly acting) a certain amount of schadenfreude ensues, but the idea that she's 'failed' at acting before she's even really begun seems a little harsh; plus we know not if she's 'given up' at modelling or will appear on the VS catwalk anyway - I don't think we can surmise that she's flicked Ed Razek et al the "Vs" and now thinks she's better than all this like members seem to do on the "Official" and "2011 Show" VS threads! Such flights of fancy would be swiftly rebuked should the model involved be someone much more important, no doubt! <_<

I definitely don't see how one could judge failure in acting by that movie (though I didn't see it) not only because its her first, but its not like the standard of acting for that series is that high . Speaking of your favorites though, this kindof puts the Candice hip proportion debate in a slightly different perspective it seems .

Lol, Joe I love meat too much to be a veggie actually... not talking about changes your body comes through when you stop eating meat I think it is natural and healthy to eat meat, so...

Oh, yes, moderation is great in all the aspect of life, I think. And seeing Obelix eat always made me hungry and eager for some meat

^Hell's bells! Surely the evils of photoshop?

With the Rosie thing, sure enough she wasn't a revelation - but compared to any woman in any Michael Bay film she was just as adequate. I was more surprised by the reaction to her not being in the "Angel" line-up this year - that somehow it was OK to assume that being (and asked to be, lest we forget) in a movie meant that she now thought she was above a fashion show, and thinks she's better than Adriana Lima (I mean, can you imagine! ), and is laughing at us as she swans about Hollywood little knowing that everybody there thinks she's shit and will never cast her in another movie again.

It's quite a leap in assumptions wouldn't you say?

^Hej! I was in Sweden only maybe 4/5 months - I was working as a chef at the Kungliga Operan (Stockholm's opera house) and a couple of bars too. It was part of some exchange-program thing I joined up to. I was there from March until late-July so I saw the change from winter to summer - which is pretty dramatic there, and enjoyed midsommardagen too.

I had a great time really, but the place was so prohibitively expensive for me that I was always reigning myself in slightly. That said, I went across to Estonia on a "booze-cruise" with (seemingly) every other Swede to stock up on cheap wines and spirits. They have these fürfests there - so you go to people's houses and party before going to the expensive night-spots around midnight - and as I've said somewhere before, you meet girls there who want to show you their record collections!

On that subject, I didn't think the women there were particularly beautiful (in as much as better than anywhere else) - but I did find them "fit" and healthy almost to a woman. In that sense they did stand out. They weren't uniformly blonde either, in fact far from it - most were brunette. Every Finn I met there though was!

I loved the cuisine there, it was so fresh and tangy compared to my heavy Porteño diet. Lots of fish and dill and chives. I did try the fermented cod you always see - and rather enjoyed it (though the smell is something else! :x ). They have this rather charming traddition of coffee and cake in the afteronon called a fika - and I love cinnamon which seemed to be an ingredient in every sweet.

Also, despite it being 4ft of snow when I arrived, and having to catch a bus and train from my apartment to the centre of Stockholm, everything ran perfectly and was exceptionally clean. Actually the city's underground was a thing of beauty - with all the stations having different themes and art-installations. (Y)

Best thing though was walking home at 3am in broad daylight. Hej då!

^

I think that model probably gets funny looks all the time..

I´ve seen a documentary on this lady but actually, I have a very hit and miss relationships with guns... my father is a general, and he´s always been showing me all these new guns and cannons and subguns he has had, I especially adored his Kalashnikov and HK MP-5 and the indestructability of the Glocks... I adore guns on one side, and hate them on the other side my fl is similar to my father in guns means - he himself owns at least 4, including subgun. I´ve hold them all, but I´ve never shooted from them. I don´t want to. I don´t know why.

But I seriously love knifes and swords I´ve bought FL the whole katana set and a tanto too he has many Russian knives, I have one American and one Sweden I think.... and one Magnum knife

Oh, and I´m seriously in love with those uniforms

Your Father was one of those PhD Generals? US generals are pretty much the same.

I have no interest in owning guns or going out to shoot at stuff. It's ironic that I know more about the military, war fighting, and military history than people who enjoy shooting. I enjoy talking, not shooting..

I exchanged letters with a war museum curator from Russia a while back. I've always found it interesting that the Eastern Front 1941-1945 is so marginalized in the West, even though it was the location of the most titanic struggle in human history. Likewise- in Russia, the West is marginalized. Universities and Museums in the US/UK tended, until 1990, to focus mainly on the Allied Front and, to a huge degree, the activities of the German military & political state. It was only after the fall of the Soviet Union did scholars start releasing extensive and incredibly fascinating work on what actually happened there.

Oh, I saw "The Brest Fortress" 2010 recently and I warmly recommend it.. only, of course, if your friends have that sort of interest, that is

Very interesting..so I'm assuming that this was 10+ years ago? I am actually quite curious about the terms and administrative details of living there. Taxes should be exceptionally high and with a lot of regulations.

.. My only experience with Swedish food is IKEA!!! LOL

I've also eaten a lot of those Swedish Desserts and breads they sell. It is an IKEA so I assume that it is probably worse than Swedish Cafeteria quality..

And I've been told by a Dutchman that Stokholm is his favorite city in the world, and it is smoother on his 'community' conscience than New York.

^Well, obviously only being there that (relatively) short amount of time I never became resident - and wasn't privy to the finer details of the Swedish social system (in fact I think was 10 years ago I was there, now you mention it - that was a fine guess if ever there was one!). I do know though that what Swedes lose out on in terms of the cost of food/drink and leisure they make up for in the cost of housing and public services. I guess you get out what you pay in though, they do have high taxes - but then you get 2 years maternity leave as a mother, and 6 months as a father?!

Yes, I'd like to think that what I was preparing in the Kungliga kitchen was a step above the IKEA cafeteria! But meatballs and lingonberries did turn up on our menus a lot... With their harsh, long winters food traditionally tended to be about preserving - hence the preponderance of curing with herbs and spices - so if you like that sort of thing then that'll be the sort of thing you'll like! The breads are thin, hard and spiced too for the same reasons, and salads tend to be pickled. Only potatoes seemed to be able to be grown all year - so they form the major carbs. Oh, and Thursday is soup-day for some reason!

There's also a hell of a lot of liquorice. And they eat these salty liquorice candies, and drink liquorice schnapps.

I'd say Ms. Winberg fits the bill as much as anybody else that would spring to mind. She's certainly 'fresh of face' and has that healthy vibe they all seemed to have. As for personality - they did tend to be reserved, but not dour. And were very keen (at least amongst my age group) on fashion and interior design - and their vinyl collections!?!? They weren't obnoxious drunks, they tended to get maudlin if anything. The Finns all carried knives and wanted to play stabbing games - not aggressively, but my Swedish friends were very dismissive of them!

@ the 'evils of photoshop'

And yeah, Jennks, maybe meat and I are just ment to be .

Okay, glad its photoshop then . *gross baby delivery joke edited* Since I saw that, it seems I've seen pics of familiar women with absurdly disproportioned, much wider than the shoulders hips so I guess there's some group of guys on a mission to give as many women giant hips as possible.

*edit* LOL, what a coincidence, I found these . The last one was on Poland's Dancing With the Stars, so I know her's aren't that big and we all know the other two of course .

*edit again* I'll spare you the Rosie one...

Oh, I have the same relationship with fashion I know more about it actually than girls who fancy dresses and shopping... which is funny. I don´t fancy it at all

What is Brest Fortress about?
