Kasia is beautiful but she doesn't seem to be a very good model. Her poses aren't as good as the others. That may be why VS dropped her.

I think that was true of her earlier work, but she's gotten better and more naturalistic since then. Either way, she's an absolute stunner and stands out far and above a lot of the ho-hum models VS keep in rotation. Plus, she was one of the best bodies in the 2010 VSFS show - I hope she gets another chance. I love her with Maryna too.. Belarus represent! :blueeyedbaby:

^Well it's certainly a step in the right direction! But I've been fooled by the odd pic of a model before - she needs more than the one gafas-fetish shot to convince me.

I'm much acquainted with New York style pizza and have probably had it from more than twenty different private restaurants. As for Chicago Style, I am much less experienced with it but I'll nevertheless say:

It's a very heavy meal which will lead to the inevitable sleepiness and heartburn. The UNO's chain gives rather daunting statistics: a personal pie at 2,000 + calories and so forth.

^Ah, but occasionally such things are so worth it... msn-12.gif

I'm more prone to do that with a variety of fine food than with a single item...:-D

I haven't had this in a while

What about California pizza?

Yea, I do hope that she comes back. I'd like to see Martha Streck and Flavia come back too!

What constitutes as 'Californian' pizza?

^ From what I've had and read, it's a New York style crust with freshly prepared local ingredients only, especially the toppings, and emphasis on presentation.

Yes, what Adriana said- basically thin or super-thin crust personal pizza with toppings that resemble an personal entree rather than just cheese and meat. The crust is done somewhat like New york style, but it's sweeter and the whole package is designed to provide a more 'upscale' pizza eating experience:

These are the preferred pizza at parties b/c 1. less common/familiar than the ubiquitous NY style 2. more interesting, more of a crowd pleaser 3. light going down rather than heavy.

Too bad that they're usually overpriced!

Do you like these Dave?

^ Yes sir, I am very fond of a California styled pizza every now and then. It's those toppings that truly steal the show on these pizzas. Fresh ingredients, amazing sauces, and just as important - a thin oven baked crust

Hmmm, I wonder if Baron is hungry at the moment?

^Always! What is that, an 'eggs florentine' pizza? msn-12.gif

Ugh, just saw this heinous piece of "journalism" on my usual Behati trawl:

I love Behati Prinsloo. Mostly because she looks like this in a bikini, but also because her name makes me think that she’s from some made-up science fiction planet. She’s actually from Namibia which to me might as well be a made-up planet because I couldn’t find it on a map even if you told me what continent it was on. Do any of you know where it is? Yeah, I didn’t think so.
^Doug Charles (yes, I'm going to name and shame you, Doug Charles as you should be shamed), this is why I hate 'men's magazines' and why lots of non-US people think so poorly of your nation...

How about you get out a map tonight and better yourself a tiny bit, fucknut. <_<

^I figure, being landlocked, that fish probably isn't such a big deal! Both my homes are coastal though (and ports), so I guess I've always taken fish and the sea for granted...

I'd give ceviche a try though, it's easy to do - and very fresh and invigorating. More so than sashimi I'd say.

As soon as I have some time for myself, I´ll try to do that

Oh, great, you know it! I guess you have prepared it yourself at home? I have a friend who does great tatarak - he does it for various occasions but we always go crazy for it

as for ceviche, no, nothing like that here. Fishes were never really traditional here - aside from carp on Christmas but... well... - but when I cook fish I usually do it in an oven with citrus and some herbs oh, and butter.

I think that fish works much better when it's sauteed and fried on a skillet. Oven-baked doesn't seem to do it justice :-D

Thinking about that... fish just always tastes great lol

baron, knowing that your background, (and if you're interested) what is this article really about? I had this sent to me.

http://www.commentarymagazine.com/article/...killed-culture/

I generally know more about economic history than these cultural commentators, but some of his critique referencing philosophy, cultural elitism, and literature escapes me. I am hastened to say this this writer is 'full of nonsense' but I won't pass judgement just quite yet. Second, his depiction of writers in the 1930s as being totally disrespectful of the 'masses' and having a worship of 'noble supermen' seems like twaddle.

The writer is a Conservative Think Tank Academic, which leads me to suspect that this is more elaborate posturing about the 'contemptuous liberal elite'.
