I've surveyed all the newer Batman comics, but I haven't really read any of them.

The "Jeph Loeb/ Tim Sale" art is the best.

This: is pretty impressive, too

Batman: Under the Hood isn't bad, either..

The "Catwoman: When in Rome" is the best Catwoman comic I've seen. The Catwoman is depicted as an eccentric, self absorbed loner with an endless internal monologue- just like Batman, in fact..:

^I don't know, like I said I've no 'issue' with her. She's not who I would readily cast as Catwoman though...
What was your preferred Batman story?
^I'm not a Batman aficionado, but I did enjoy The Killing Joke, by Alan Moore. He's always an enjoyable writer in this field though anyway. And you?

So you can see the picture fine? Hmmm... Wonder what's up with me then?

I uploaded it on another host site:
^Still no good! But take solace, Jennka, that it only appears to be me as Mr. Icon can see it fine...

So it's come to this, Baron..

We're ready for your Blues sir

^Actually I'd just finished watching the Essendon game before coming on - otherwise you'd have ruined it!

:hell yea!: That's them done then! Sweet... As for your team, hmmm, it's that battle to be the 4th best team in the home/away season isn't it?! (OK, the Eagles won that!) I should be able to watch it live - carn the Blues!

Close one

Really looking forward to this game. Finals taste all the more sweet when you've been skulking around the bottom of the ladder in recent years

^Me too - especially as I can't see the title going outside of the top two.

On a side note I do like the fact that a team who were bottom of the ladder only a few seasons ago can turn it around in as many years. The draft system, like in US sports, really does keep a fan on their toes. I feel it's a downside to European football, that the top teams tend to stay top - and then those glory-seeking "fans" become insufferable in their untouchability... <_<

^I do like some Queen from time to time. It appeals to the showman in me!

And gotta love the massively impractical Wonder Woman costume. But she does have damn fine thighs!

^Do you think Anne's going to turn it around for me and Ophelia then? I'm fully open to it, of course - but she's got a hill to climb!

The DC thing I read and enjoyed most recently was 'Kingdom Come' - a Justice League mini-series by Alex Ross. It's about 15 years old, but I read it as a collected TPB. On the back of it I also read 'Justice' because of Mr. Ross there...

i do love the BAtman Long Halloween and it's sequels (including the catwoman story). really great stuff that was done and a nice companion piece to Batman Year One.

and i HATE that Anne Hathaway got cast as Selina Kyle. there is NO WAY she would be a Catwoman. Catwoman is sassy and sexy and seductive and can actually be an equal to BAts. I don;t see it with ehr. She just has that glued on plastic smile.

Agree about the top 2 too. I think the Hawks were still genuine contenders until Franklin went down last week. Really caps of a horrid year for injuries for them.. they've done well to battle it out this far though.

But hey, you never know what's going to happen from game to game. Collingwood seems to have lost their air of invincibility in recent weeks.. I really don't want them to get back-to-back flags

Some new Big Pink for you, Baron - rumours of a new hip-hop direction appear to be wide of the mark.

Anne Hathaway just seems very annoying to me in general... she's not ugly for sure, but all the magazines need to stop with 'beautiful star' articles about her... I don't know, I guess there's something wrong with her smile when I look at her I can imagine to not mind talking with her for time to time for 5 minutes, but if you were to spend more time with her, she'd annoy you.... like a co-worker, who you don't need to work/spend time with too often but you definitely wouldn't like to invite to go shopping together or something.

I feel like I put too much thought about the vibe Anne H. gives me

And, yes, those plucky Hawks. (Y) Seems my team may have lost Kreuzer too though...

^Thank you, I wasn't aware this was happening just yet! I guess stick with what you know - lest the curse of 'that difficult second album' strike!

I wonder - do you know of the 80's band Felt, Michael*? Their sound was somewhat analogous anyway. Listeneing to that new song just reminded me of them...

(This vid takes minimal to a new level, by the way! )

^NEVER!!! Over-thinking relatively trivial things is perfect for this thread!

It would seem, Mr. Icon, that Anne is indeed divisive... If not downright derided, here at least.

^Impractical yes, but that's not to say unappreciated. :brows:

Come on, if there were superheroines around this is exactly how I'd want them to dress! That's why nobody liked that aborted Wonder Woman TV thing this year - and why you have to love those 'cosplay' convention ladies...

and a little "peace offering" for you B
^You perhaps forget, Sweet Lu, that I fought in the trenches during the First Great Lima War of 2008. It was not pretty. And it still isn't completely over. But back before that time NOBODY could say anything bad about Lima without our forum collapsing into a melee of arguing, attrition and (inevitably) casualties. But it had to be stopped. No one model should hold that level of omnipotence, and for her divinity to be above discussion...

A few bold members stood up to this despotic regime, and began to fight back. Like I said it was not pretty - but that's war - and many fine members were lost. But we persevered - and now we can dare to suggest that other models could be better. These things are, of course, subjective - but there was a time prior to 2008 when it was NOT subjective. And you could be, at best, blacklisted (at worst 'disappeared) for disagreeing that she wasn't the best at everything.

So forgive me if you felt I lashed out? I appreciate the olive-branch ardently. But I fought hard for this freedom; and, you know, sometimes in my motel-room I wake up staring at that fan - whirring on the ceiling - realising I haven't gotten far enough away yet:

Every time I think I'm gonna wake up back in the jungle. When I was home after my first tour, it was worse. I'd wake up and there'd be nothing. When I was here, I wanted to be there; when I was there, all I could think of was getting back into the jungle. I'm here a week now... waiting for a mission... getting softer; every minute I stay in this room, I get weaker, and every minute Lima-fan squats in the bush, he gets stronger. Each time I looked around, the walls moved in a little tighter...

[^She's a comedy character, as part of the "Great Lakes X-Men" (formerly "Great Lakes Avengers"), that Marvel utilises in one-off or limited-series specials from time to time. I just recalled - after your post put her back in my consciousness - that her sidekick was called Joe, who is a little squirrel... confused023.gif

What are the chances ?

I may have forgotten the answer, but which do you prefer out of the Korean and Japanese models? I assume Korean since you seem to have made more of their threads, but said you were going to Japan at one point so I figured I'd ask anyway .
