Yeah, I think I've seen Cintia at the castings a lot. That's why I was wondering what it feels like to be a top model and turned down in such a public way since its not like we have videos about actors being turned down for roles
. She's one of my favorite runway models though and has so much grace and confidence on the runway and her hips are hypnotizing, I'd love to see her in those elaborate getups
. I love a lot of different kinds of humor, even though some think I'm crazy for laughing at some
. It seems every country has a unique style and there are a lot of substyles in each country. Some things people laugh at because they relate and other people can communicate those same things in a way that people that don't relate can can laugh anyway. Of course, every comedian and taste is an individual. Strangely enough, some of the most foreign types of humor to me are right here at home
. I like British humor which is geographically foreign, whereas Seinfeld and Will Ferrel are right here at home and seem like a foreign language to me
. I don't get Adam Sandler stand-up, though I'm a big fan of him in movies. Actually, there are a lot of comedians I love in stand-up that I find awful in movies, so it balances out. I must say though, I have all the respect in the world for all stand-up comedians and live skit performers whether I find them funny or not. To stand up there in front of all those people and be expected to be good and overcome that pressure and win over an audience really takes something.

I agree, one has to have a balls to do it - and a great deal of courage
and I can´t help myself, I like Adam Sandler very much ![]()
They really did turn down Cintia at VSFS castings?
what the... I can´t understand that. Her hips are worth fortune!

does anybody here like Lydia Hearst? She could easily play a character from the Great Gatsby- she has that "1920s" look. It's due to her face.
I'm also looking forward to the new film!

i do love the BAtman Long Halloween and it's sequels (including the catwoman story). really great stuff that was done and a nice companion piece to Batman Year One.and i HATE that Anne Hathaway got cast as Selina Kyle. there is NO WAY she would be a Catwoman. Catwoman is sassy and sexy and seductive and can actually be an equal to BAts. I don;t see it with ehr. She just has that glued on plastic smile.
I like the Harvey Dent character in Long halloween. But as far as Batman goes, I find the Nolan films much more enjoyable than the comics themselves..
...
And I've always felt that Anne looks like a Disney cartoon character with those large eyes. I liked her in "The Devil wears Prada" but that's a totally different type of film, LOL.

^Do you think Anne's going to turn it around for me and Ophelia then? I'm fully open to it, of course - but she's got a hill to climb! The DC thing I read and enjoyed most recently was 'Kingdom Come' - a Justice League mini-series by Alex Ross. It's about 15 years old, but I read it as a collected TPB. On the back of it I also read 'Justice' because of Mr. Ross there...
I wouldn't know about Anne. You know, I thought Heath Ledger would be mediocre but he stood up and delivered. :-p
His 'Joker' seemed to be a synthesis of the Crow, Marlon Brando's Colonel Kurtz from Apocalypse Now and those nutjobs from 'Clockwork Orange'.
btw Baron! What do you think of my Park Shin Hye?! :wub2:
She is so cute and an absolutely brilliant actress! ![]()

I had to CAUSE its so retarded lolllllllllll

^You're right there!
Cintia is much better suited for Aerie. They don't airbrush her freckles away, and she always looks like she is having fun.
^Yes, we all know how slapdash the 'airbrushers' over at VSHQ are! You´re rightlook at her, she´s precious
But I would love to see her on VS runway, though. Not really in their highly airbrushed catalogues

But I'm with Jennka - irrespective of anything else, the VSFS does allow us to see 'our' ladies parading in a different environment than (model) normal. And I'd love to see her doing it for once.

^She's not for me, but I totally get what you're saying! And I'm keen to see Luhrmann's take on the novel, he is a director with a very definite style. It looks well cast too...does anybody here like Lydia Hearst? She could easily play a character from the Great Gatsby- she has that "1920s" look. It's due to her face.I'm also looking forward to the new film!
^This one though, looks like somthing to investigate further!btw Baron! What do you think of my Park Shin Hye?! :wub2:She is so cute and an absolutely brilliant actress!

^Yeah, I'm going to remain ambivalent until the proof. One should have faith after Heath...I wouldn't know about Anne. And freckles are fucking ace - so why piss about with them?

Exactly
I would love to see her in those fancy clothes, parading up and down the runway ![]()

^Maybe I missed this, or maybe I was ignoring it!?!? Either way, I appreciate the lack of gloating.So.. I won't mention the gameI gotta say though, dunno if you saw/heard or not, but Walker was absolutely robbed of Mark of the Year. They gave it to Krakouer
Yeah, just saw the "Mark of the Year". ABSOLUTE bollocks! <_<

I don't know if I'd want him in my troupe come the 'zombipocalypse' - what with all that screaming!

I haven't seen either the original or the remake, but somehow this comment speaks to me anyway somehow
.
"What can even be said about the Nicolas Cage remake of The Wicker Man? Robin Hardy's 1973 classic is a spectacular portrait of a truly demented, insular society. The greatest accomplishment of Neil LaBute's version is that it makes the police protagonist look even crazier than the insane cult he's investigating. Cage's performance is so over the top and ridiculous it recasts the entire movie as unintentional comedy. It was great for YouTube clips, sure, but a full ninety minutes of it is why it's one of the worst movie remakes ever." - K. Jensen

It was, as predicted, a close game anyway - and enjoyable, well, excepting the beginning and end!
Yeah, just saw the "Mark of the Year". ABSOLUTE bollocks! <_<
I know right. Ricky Petterd's was better than Krakouer's as well, after Walker and NicNat's ![]()
And yet another agonisingly close game last night.. I can't believe the Hawks let that one slip :persuazn:

^I guess you've been in THE ODDITORIUM? I'd highly recommend the original, it's superb.I haven't seen either the original or the remake, but somehow this comment speaks to me anyway somehow.
^I know, I know, Red. For me it's the same with Nozomi-chan - you know there are photos about, but impossible to follow the trails in japanese...blah.Looking for pictures for a Korean actress is hard!
^Haven't seen it yet... But I agree with your 'ranking' there - but then I often fall foul of polls ( <_< ), so I try to remain loftily detached!I know right. B, I was thinking about this question... what keeps your feet on the ground, and, on the contrary, your head in the clouds?
