Baron, out of curiosity, what are your favorite cuts of steak?

^Ah, bife! Naturally it's nice to change it up often - and as long as there's a damn fine Malbec to accompany it (as well as chimichurri - the king of bife sauces) I'm happy!

But, yes, one does err towards certain cuts. And for me a bife de chorizo is the best all-rounder, certainly in a good restaurant. It's the sirloin, so sometimes lesser establishments can use an inferior cut. From the frontal section of the muscle is better, go too far back and it tends to get fatty.

The joy of going to a good parrilla (or steakhouse) though is that you get all the off-cuts and other bits too. So, for a starter you could have chinchulines (intestines), mollejas (sweetbreads) and riñones (kidneys) served up. And if you're going to be a wimp about those things then Buenos Aires is not the place for you! I'd also recommend the bife de lomo (tenderloin) - it probably is the finest cut, but it can be relatively expensive and more hit and miss with how it's cooked.

The best steaks I've ever had (that I recognize, that is) were from Japanese Kobe beef. It has great marbling and often an almost 'buttery' flavor. I like the Porterhouse and of course a well prepared Filet Mignon.

And I would imagine that telling you about how non-US people saw George W. would be rather redundant! To an outsider, his two election "wins" upset me in terms of how I see the US populace, but then I remember certain mammoth pockets of the country that I visited and it makes a little more sense. Plus, I suppose, there's a history of voting for the party over and above the candidate - allegiance more important than any 'cult of personality'?

I don't know, maybe I just assume that most men probably don't turn down a lot of free sex, so the fact that a guy would say that in light of whatever the downside he refers to is seems kindof worthless I guess. I could maybe see if it was like an inner conflict or something as in you particularly want to even despite whatever the other thing is. Maybe sometimes it could be a way of saying his disdain is not a way of saying he's too good or something, I don't know. On the other hand, maybe its more sincere than the woman saying, "but nice body" or "but nice nose" or something since he probably really does want to sleep with her when the woman probably doesn't really care that much about the body or the nose, but just to patronize. I guess at the end of the day, no woman would be comforted by either "but (aha!) I would sleep with you" or "you're ugly or I don't like your face, but (there's good news!) your body is nice."

Yeah, "she´s so ugly" works pretty well. Or another one "I can´t understand how could she become a model" or another insults including big/small/no breasts, too skinny, too thick, too annoying, hips-to-body-or-whatever-ratio being two inches bigger or smaller, too bony, too manly... *sigh* it´s like... sometimes we talk about models like they aren´t really real. I think people would act absolutely different if they knew all the models were actually reading their posts.

I guess it may sound crazy but I don't actually think anyone is ugly . I've never been much for calling people ugly actually. Well, to be honest I even find average somewhat sketchy at times seeing as how no two people who aren't twins look alike so there isn't really even an average in terms of face at least (although in some populations bodies are almost uniform). On my own scale I judge by the distance between one and one I like better rather than so called "quality". One eye or boob or nose or whatever is as good as another assuming they frunction healthily and properly.

In some regards i feel the same way, I've never called anyone ugly. It's a lot like music, i've never said that band or artist is shit...it's purely down to personal taste and what you like to see in a girl

Yes, of course, when something is entirely subjective then you shouldn't talk objectively about it. Some people are less-fortunate looking then others - if symmetry is the "magic" ingredient scientists say it is - and then you have all manner of disfigurements and skin problems; but charm and expression play a major part in anybody's looks.

For me, I get more annoyed with people telling me x is beautiful and that there's no argument about that (a topic I'm sure I've exhausted on this thread and others before!). I've never been a fan of Angelina Jolie (not that I find her unattractive), but I got pretty bored 10-15 years ago when everybody in the media was telling me I had to be. Closer to BZ home there are the usual subjects, you know who they are, and the inevitable Theron poll to enforce such edicts! People just need to remember they are individuals with individual tastes. It's not actually a competition.

(Incidentally, on such things, I'm never too happy about 'voting' "sports" in the Olympics. You can't argue with who jumped the furthest - but you can about who did the best swimming-upside-down gubbins in synchronised swimming.)

Seems to me that what you're saying is that it's not your own personal taste/opinion that has made you come to conclusion of disliking Angelina Jolie. But is simply based on the fact she has been over marketed and somewhat thrown into your face as it were This in return overshadows your true personal taste

This seems to be the case more and more these days. Candice being a prime example who I felt at one point was absolutely everywhere. The more people liking these models/actress or whatever the more people (ironically) in fact dislike them
