^Mmmm! What was it - are these Californian wineries?Señor Baron, thought I'd share a glass here. Managed to fit in some wine tasting at the end of our weekend here. What a sight for sore eyes![]()
I've been knocking back some Romanian Merlot these last few days. It sounds wrong, I know, but it's not bad at all. One of the good things about visiting Europe is the sheer breadth of wine choice you get. In Argentina, wine imports are so expensive that I stick with local most of the time (not that there's anything wrong with ours!
) - but here you can buy decent bottles from all over the world at a decent price.
I hear China (as, seemingly, in all things
) will be the new wine-powerhouse. I haven't had the pleasure yet though, excepting that truly mediocre brake-fluid that gets foisted on you at Chinese restaurants! :yuckky:
Oh, shown in the picture above was a Moscato Jen was trying. I was about to be served one of their red wines - Merlot i believe, not bad at all i might add
But we also tried so many other red wines and white wines. I think i had a total of 13 samplings....didn't keep track much after that though ![]()

Here is a link to the wineries just in case your interested: http://www.wineresort.com/ , http://www.pontewinery.com/
Romanian Merlot eh? Well, never a wrong choice as long as ones palate is satisfied
And nothing wrong indeed with local at all, its what i do all the time here. I'm spoiled in a way to have so many varieties to choose from here in Cali with the Nappa Valley and Temecula Valley regions growing grapes. Of course not to mention all the sheer number of imports coming our way. And to think 'Prohibition' actually once had a foot hold here....blasphemy I tell ya !!
Oy...not to sound insensitive but i don't think i shall be trying any Chinese wines anytime soon. I'm perfectly fine with whats at hand. But i guess a taste test will come into play just to see where they rank on my palate.
What do you guys think of Toni Garrn?
For some reason I always see her as a poor man's Edita, which is pretty unfair <_<
She's pretty, but she's never drawn me in enough to get more interested. I probably need to see more of her work.
Love her name though ![]()

Toni Garrn-the best German 'export' since Opel, Siemens, Hugo Boss and Karl Lagerfeld.... ok, not really
![]()
She's a lovely angel though, she's got this kind of 'calming beauty' as I'd call it, in a way similar to Diane Kruger... who is also German. She's not very interesting as a model, but beautiful indeed.

What more to say... yes ![]()

^Instantly forgettable I'd say... :|
I'm sure she's a lovely lady, and should she ever give me the time of day I'd no doubt be extremely flattered and bowled over - but in this once-removed environment and being detached, I should say: boring!
I did see, yesterday, that she's shooting PINK with Ben Watts; not that that milieu would change my opinion in and of it's own - but, well, that's that.
^No, I kind of missed it in that it hadn't come out in Argentina but already had in the UK. I was keen to though, obviously I'm a fan of the original - but I'm also a big fan of the doe-eyed beauty that is Mary Elizabeth Winstead.Did you guys see the 'Thing' Prequel? I saw it a few weeks ago, and it was good enough, but not great. It's much like the original. ***/***** :-)
^Thank you for the link. (Y) Tell me, is it seen as 'bad form' to not drink Californian when in California?Oh, shown in the picture above was a Moscato Jen was trying. I was about to be served one of their red wines - Merlot i believe, not bad at all i might add![]()

You know, like a territorial approach?
And I'd say there's no reason why Chinese wine shouldn't be great. The size of the country and it's geography must make it amenable...
I suspect a lot of money will buy a lot of know-how, and we'll be drinking and praising it within a decade.

No prob amigo
And as far as i know there is no 'bad form' if u do drink something other then California wine. As long as the wine is flowing you really wont hear of such a complaint ![]()
No doubt that some of that arable land must be suitable for grapes in an area the size of China. And there are always wineries from abroad looking for more market share and the Chinese sure fit that bill. Even if Chinese wines make a good foot hold in the USA, i shall stick to my local spirits. I might sound narrow minded but I'm always one to support local first then try what ever else might catch my eye.

I like to preffer our national products as well - even though it might be a more expensive choice to make... but one has to support his country, right?
Although as long as I won t find a really good Slovak beer, I´ll stick to Czech ones ![]()

I missed out on a a free twenty dollars
. This girl said if I could recite the words to the "You Belong With Me" song she'd give me the hundred. Of course even then I elected to write it in case it was a trick to get me on Youtube. It seems I've heard the song a lot, but it just didn't come to me. Here's what I had...
She's a cheerleader, I'm in the bleachers
She wears red pumps, I wear sneakers
I'm the one that understands you, make her unhand you
Seeee, You belong to meeee
Well, that's all I had
.

^I had no idea what any of that was about - so, I suppose, it's just as well she didn't ask me! ![]()
However, I did my homework (
), and looked it up on YouTube... And whilst I couldn't bear to see the video through to the end (although I suspect I know the outcome) I still won't get that 90 seconds and a small part of my ears back!
So that's what Taylor Swift sounds like, and looks like outside of ILUVAdrianaLima's 'About Me' page?! I'll leave it at that... ![]()

Does what it says:
Claret everywhere...

I've brought the goodie bag today, so enjoy it! Stay small son <3

This one made me laugh hard...

I´m always late![]()
No, no fire
I just follow Daria for a really long time and never noticed such a thing as nose job - and I felt I have to speak up for her, at least sometimes... I´m not into these fires anymore

Glad you like the pics
I know she´s not the kind of regular beauty with commerciall appeal... but I so do love her look and adventurous soul
I feel close to her in means of spirit - she is an artist. She loves to draw, read books and travel in adventurous ways! She´s a tough girl indeed
and a muse
It's alright, one of my favorite models is Flavia, and she has breast implants. :-D
I ran across that show in TFS. Somewhere.. if I find it again, I will post the rest. Does she blog a great deal? I know nothing detailed about most of the top fashion models.

For some reason I always see her as a poor man's Edita, which is pretty unfair <_<She's pretty, but she's never drawn me in enough to get more interested. I probably need to see more of her work.
Love her name though
Toni is very tall and imho not as pretty as Edita. Still beautiful, of course. It seems highly probable to me that the high fashion models would choose to change their real names or modify them to achieve a more aesthetic effect :-D Toni Garrn's real name is Antonia Garrn.
Speaking of German models, I liked Julia's hair and makeup in this one: (It's an old picture, circa 2004-2005)

I agree, she looks like Diane Kruger. Toni has a crooked nose but crooked in a way that makes her look more distinguished. I can imagine her looking the part of an aristocratic German woman once she's over 40.

She seems to have been a pretty successful model so far. However, I do find her rather expressionless in her photoshoots. :-/

Best almost exploding head scene ever?

It's okay, 'Garrn' is the awesome bit ![]()

Flavia has breast implants??
didn´t know that! I like her too, lol.
Actually she does not blog at all (as far as I know) - others write about her. And from pics of her vacations I´ve seen... she´s really an adventurer.

^Oh, please don't mistake my comments for anything resembling popular opinion! These are resolutely personal observations - her 'look' isn't something that particularly does it for me is all... Besides, there are some models who are very popular here - and in the real world - that leave me, at best, indifferent!^Instantly forgettable I'd say... :|I'm sure she's a lovely lady, and should she ever give me the time of day I'd no doubt be extremely flattered and bowled over - but in this once-removed environment and being detached, I should say: boring!

I get that she's "classically" beautiful - maybe I just like a little more "imp" in my women? ![]()

^Good call! (Y)Best almost exploding head scene ever?
For me though, it's Doctor Kananga in Live And Let Die:

'Names is for tombstones, baby! Y'all take this honkey out and WASTE HIM! NOW!'

I don't think that there's any model on BZ that would leave me feeling indifferent. At least visually :-p
Baron, love. Lookie!
I've been playing Star Wars obsessively since it came out.
I, of course, made a Lethan Twi'lek(Named Talyn.) She's a Sith Inquisitor(sadly my friends wouldn't play the Republic so I'm evil!)
and with her is my gorgeous companion, a Togruta named Ashara. I can't romance her as a girl, which is heartbreaking because I love her so much!
but I wanted to show you the Togruta, another of my fave Star Wars species =D
and here are some closeups of my Twi'lek!
