Oh, the question - if you have any favourite sayings /either in Spanish or English / - I stated one of mine - The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence

I say Baron, have you had the chance to check out 'Future This' yet? Unfortunately, my ears have yet to hear it - my beloved five-year-old MP3 player finally gave up the ghost last week and consequently, my listening habits have taken something of a hit.
^Five years? Is that the MP3 shelf-life? Apologies for missing this before, have you rectified this yet. There's always some cheap and dodgy market MP3s to tide you over! (Five day shelf-life.)

I like Future This - it's not a radical change of direction for that difficult second album, had the gig Thursday too. Crystal Visions was the highlight though, that and Velvet are goose-pimply!

It might have been a freak occurence that my player lasted as long as it did, though in truth, it had been going a bit peculiar for a while. I'm pricing up potential replacements as we speak, so alas, I still haven't heard 'Future This' yet. Glad you still managed to make it to the gig, though! What did you make of the support act, 2:54? I haven't seen them live but they're fast becoming one of my favourite new bands, and I'm waiting with baited breath for the debut album proper.

Did you manage to catch the Muppets movie then, Baron? I'm going to try and see it this week if at all possible. When I saw the trailer I quite fancied checking it out, and then when I read that all the songs were written by Bret McKenzie of Flight of the Conchords fame, it tipped me over the edge! Miss Piggy's looking awfully skinny these days though, don't you think? The pressure of keeping up with the size zero crowd, I guess.

^The Muppets was AWESOME! I went last week, and they managed to tread that fine line between nostalgia and mawkishness with aplomb! (Y) It didn't have that (sometimes jarring) issue with chucking in "adult" jokes alongside the family friendly fare - just that the whole thing was pitched right for everyone (plus some well-judged cameos too). And Bret McKenzie went and won the OSCAR too! Righteous!

Aline looks like a lioness, and that picture with the lion shoulder pads & dog is so appropriate...

Freja's been looking really gaunt and exhausted lately. It would be preferable if it passes soon and she gets back to doing stuff like ^ that.

Trite? I generally find them very true, lol. It´s like people following some universal scheme, it´s hilarious. I´ve been thinking about it for some time now - is there a human tendency to follow some universal scheme, or are we born with this? I think it´s mostly the society around us, the movies we watch and literature we read, the things we listen to... you know, how much romantic (insane)women are dreaming about a sexy wampire that would glitter, come and marry them afer this whole Twillight nonsense, lol. How much women are waiting for their "prince on a white horse" to come and marry them because of all these romantic books (I´m talking about you, Danielle Steel!!). Others:

Old wealthy guys marrying young women that are considered beautiful

Young "beautiful" women marrying anyone with enough money (they are true, age or look doesn´t matter - nor does size )

Generally everyone marrying someone and having kids

Everyone asking those other few ones that didn´t marry or don´t have kids when are they going to do these two most vital things in life (no one cares if you have found a medicine against cancer, but when are you going to get marry and have children is obviously the 2nd most talked question after weather)

Politics = ratty

the more famous one is, the more reality seems to fade for him/her

people being jealous for everything they don´t have and never valuing the things they have

models = stupid

fat = normal average healthy woman

skinny = anorectic

extremes over extremes

everyone looks like Adriana

on a lighter note, there is a 4 pages long raw between Adriana fans and Candice fans:

^I'm glad to hear it. Don't like to see waste... Ever heard of wombles? They're a bunch of rodent-type creatures who are compulsively attracted to recycling. There's a colony of them living on some park land in Greater London, but I know they exist in France and Scotland too.

As for that photographer - maybe Rosie was coming out of a doorway off-shot. This appears to be her sole purpose for existing at the moment, and the 'paps' seem endlessly fascinated by such behaviour...

^I just mean there are some lazy homilies out there, meant to assuage us when things aren't going our way. And that's a bit trite, you know?

Your examples of truisms there are spot-on though!

Ah, Adriana fans - will they never tire of going to other model's threads to empirically prove how she's better than anyone else? :|

Even when they're being nice about Candice they can't help themselves:

Candice is after Adriana the hottest and beautifulest VS-model.

And you have to admire the sheer blinkered vision of this prime Limanati member: http://www.bellazon.com/main/index.php?s=&...t&p=2822403 What coddled environment are they reading posts in here? Maybe they just never leave the Lima sub-forum and are yet to realise that not everybody is in awe of her...

Spot on maybe, but they are also very tiring, aren´t they? There are not enough *sigh* I could make everytime I see them... and I keep wondering - why the hell I keep wondering about such idiotisms I don´t know - it´s just out of my logic sense however such a behaviour is (I think) purely logical but mostly contains no heart in it - and this is maybe the reason why it bothers me so much. What the hell is this world like when people consider me crazy (or when they are nice, they call me "rare") because I chose a man without money instead of man with lots of money?

Which ones do you mean? I know there are many... and some of them really are trite, lol I´ve seen a movie where one actress played a crazy woman that was speaking (always) in sayings, with this teaching-kind of tone, it really made me furious, lol.

Yeah, I laughed on that one really hard pure gold, isnt´it? oh, I have another one!

- Everyone looks like Adriana, but NO ONE is better or more beautiful than Adriana

I think that Miche got a really good spot on, healthy and witty, but only one member understood and read her intelligent post (which is logical, because idiocy very rarely reads intelligence, mind you) - it´s just pure insanity, but I laughed a lot.

In my wild dreams I wondered how such a conversation would look like... now I have it I must tell Angie... she might love it too

^Limanati logic in full swing:

Seriously it is REALLY irritating when you start to compare the models over subject shit Like beauty and stuff like that as if its suppose to prove something. Everyone is different and it always depends on preferences when it comes to those subjects. And where were all of you that are comparing them when there was a poll between adriana and candice where adriana won by over 10 votes. Granted, the question was who was prettier, but obviously you all are candice fans you would have voted for candice anyway. That was the time to compare candice and adriana. Unless you was on there and you did vote and adriana still won then......
^So, let me get his straight - it's silly and wrong to compare models as it proves nothing, but in this poll Adriana beat Candice so it proves everything? confused023.gif

This is something that would cause even Mr. Freud a real pain in the arse - or headache at the minimum.

You know B, THE MOST IMPORTANT THING is, that ADRIANA won over Candice in THE MOST IMPORTANT POLL ON THIS EARTH, right? Right???! So it´s proven! And it´s over! THAT was the right time, not NOW! HA HA HA HA HA!

So many pearls and so little time... that discussion should be stored somewhere

Have you also caught the "Adriana is the most versatile of them all" fact? That was quite funny too

The Muppets was AWESOME! I went last week, and they managed to tread that fine line between nostalgia and mawkishness with aplomb! Finally, 'Flight of the Conchords' and 'Oscars' can be used in the same sentence!

In general, if you were to imagine a middle point between The XX and Warpaint I think you'd be at least halfway there on 2:54, but this particular tune was one of the first things I heard, and it reminds me of a shoegazier Black Rebel Motorcycle Club fronted by Enid and Rebecca from 'Ghost World'.

The video's a bit 'Twilight' but don't let that put you off...
