No, I never got to Finland proper. Just close to the border. Sweden was full of Finns though, and they liked to play with knives and roll naked in the snow - wasn't too bothered about exploring them further!

I did have the pleasure of hearing/seeing the great tenor Placido Domingo whilst I was there though. And he made of point of saying how much he enjoyed his meal with us too. (Y) I'm not sure I have a particular preference in regards to the operatic pitches in general though. For me it's more about the song and it's delivery - and I judge a performer on that. Do you, then?

In fact the reason I stumbled upon BZ was in trying to find out her name. I'm stumped as to why she's not more popular - but she's still steadily working and looking as gorgeous as ever anyway...
I´ve always imagined how it must be to see a model in reality. I mean, pictures are pictures, but when you meet them, it must be a whole different space to explore. I always read how even more gorgeous models are in person (I guess not all of them of course, but you get my point) - especially everyone says so about Gisele, I think she must have an aura around her that won´t come that clear in pictures and only little in vids.
I´ve also dreamed about meeting Marloes - considering her candids, she must be a real princess

. That sounds like a great experience in the opera house and I have to agree on it depending on the song and delivery. I must admit that I don't know that many songs by name though. I know Elf King, Nossa Dormant, Carmen, Celeste Aida, Fickle Women and a couple others maybe. All in all, I used to think it was boring, but it seems the actual shows really bring it to life. Even just listening though, some have great emotion to go along with the great voices. I've always like regular classical and or instrumental classical though.
I'm glad to hear that she's so well liked. I just saw a shocker (she has a 3 year old boy!). She has a very tight physique. :-) She was in the VS fashion shows, but her outfits there were so hideous that I completely forgot about her.

This show had it all. In addition to yours, it had Fabiana, Guisela, Izabel, Raica, Adriana, Alessandra, and Renata. VS has never put up such a Brazilian cast

Oh, no, I didn't meet Lais. But she was shooting a campaign for a big Argentina brand (Complot) and I happened upon it. They were filming in one of their stores near my apartment, so I kept seeing her around for a couple of days. Then, later, I saw all the ads and figured I was in love - so I wanted to know her name!
As I've told donbot before though, I did stand in line at JFK with Pania Rose once too. And I have actually met Elle Macpherson and Helena Christensen, who left me completely tongue-tied and flustered! 
Still kind of reeling from missing Magdalena a year or so ago - when she was filming about two blocks from me...

What actually annoys people about Adriana Lima? (besides her VS physical posturing?) AnaBB (the poster) also dislikes her a lot. My only issue with her is the fact that she's edging past her expiration date as a model. She also weighs too much. As for the VS Brazilians...I've always liked Ale A, Gisele, Isabeli, and AnaBB a whole lot more...

The Monange DFT is certainly something that deserves the HD treatment. It's a little too VS for my liking (do they really need to do wings too?), but I agree the cast is pretty spectacular. The 2010 show also had Renata Sozzi and Flavia Lucini 
Plus they seem to have a penchant for a lot of thigh-high boots :brows:

They do have more of a 'melting-pot' than Argentina, true - but, honestly (well, to a degreeI'm equally jaded with the more typical, non-outstanding representatives of the anglo-saxon appearance (Lindsay Ellingson, Erin H.). So, Brazilian models tend to be exotic to me. Part of it must have to do with the fact that I don't have much intimidate contact with Brazilian people...

I can't see why people dismiss Behati or Chanel as being un-VS-worthy in terms of looks and body - and yet rave on about these two (and Lily)? I appreciate that some might not find Behati comparable with the likes of Adriana (and those that went before her, ALWAYS those that went before... ) - but these blondes are hardly archetypal "bombshells", are they?
Marloes ticks the more vivacious box, whereas gamine and willowy blondes are better represented by Magdalena and (a find of mine) Chantal Le Fevre.

What I don't like however, is being told what/who to like. And that's probably where my annoyance with her stems from (admittedly not her fault); I almost actively dislike a model when that shit starts happening! Being an iconoclast is in my nature, sure, but not to that perverse a degree though. I mean I'm a big fan of Rosie's, and she topped all those sordid polls last year (although that's a rare example of me and the populace being simpatico). The vehemence, and evangelical zeal of the Lima fans - and their belief that she has to be the best and that it has to be proved really annoys me. Why can't we all just like who we like? But no, stats have to be thrown at us and unarguable "proof" posted to show us non-believers! True this is happening elsewhere now (I mean, since when have twitter followers or YouTube hits been counted as undeniable FACT? Yet these are being heralded as proof that you are wrong if you don't like certain models here with aplomb. Statistics don't account for our individual taste), but her fans remain the most fervent...

I couldn't muster the guts to talk to Pania. We kept standing alongside each other though, in those twisty lines you have to wait in at passport control. Being the incredibly anal US though there was no way I could take a sneaky picture. There were plenty of bossy and shouty airport staff - mainly comprised of fearsome looking large middle-aged African-American women. Carrying guns. She looked fresh and professional though. I'm sure I looked as haggard as a guy who has spent 15 hours in a tin cigar-tube, drinking little cans of Heineken and breathing in other people's farts has any right to look.
With Helena, I was at a gallery opening for some Paul McCartney tour photo exhibition (with the man himself, and his one-time peg-legged missus). I was looking at a picture when she sneaked up on me and engaged me in conversation. My tongue swelled up and I was sweating like the proverbial! God only knows what I actually did say - but I looked upon it as a success as I didn't faint or throw up!

If Alessandra and Izabel are normal beauties, then Argentina must be the best country in the world! I think Aless. Ambrosia/Adriana work really well in the states. They look very exotic to us, and are accessible as well.

Lindsay is very a much a standard issue blonde. Erin is unusually delicate, and perhaps a bit more rare. Overall, I'm not much of a fan of American or British blonde models. I'm just too familiar with that look I guess. The Dutch, the commonwealth, the Nord, the Baltics, and rest of Eastern Europe win at this game for me...
