No all the scary movies I own are The Shining, The Crazies, and Dawn of the Dead
I own alot of thrillers though, but not alot of horror movies. Pretty much though the only movies I go watch in the theatres are scary movies! There were quite a few good ones this year..
Evil Dead, The Conjuring, and Your Next (which was suprisingly SUPER good)

After the hearty dinner I just had I sure could use a bit of the praline treatment right about now...

^I find most modern "horror" starts off pretty good but loses it's way in the final third... There seems to be a pathological need to explain everything, and the films lose their trajectory with exposition and unnecessary resolution. It's scarier to leave it all a mystery (which is why I love Japanese horror so much
); I did see The Conjuring at the cinema though, and that was good for 'jump' moments!
However I tend to be 'scared' more though by psychological horror - the kind that sticks with you long after the credits. A couple of good examples would be Jacob's Ladder and Don't Look Now.
I would take a psychological movie over a gore fest anyday..in the end the content is key, and its so rare to find a good scary movie with tons of blood and scaryness while keeping a decent storyline ![]()
Oddly Your Next totally smashed all the predictables, and was surprisingly a really good horror movie. It had alot of twists and turns that kept you guessing till the end. Also even with all the blood and supper scceerrrrryy images, Evil Dead was also really good. Usually movies that gorey are just lame, but this movie oddly made it good ![]()
I'll have to look up those movies I've never heard of them before. Why did you like those movies?

^Whoah, that looks too sweet to be honest! After the hearty dinner I just had I sure could use a bit of the praline treatment right about now...
May I suggest the below then? Make it quick though before it melts ![]()

Baron,
I find it a bit unfortunate that Edita and Eniko did it before but were never featured again. Edita was gorgeous that time around. (the farm girl wings)
Now that the show is out, what do you think?
Personally I found it fine but a bit dull since I saw all the costumes beforehand. The show seemed to lack energy like last years' and editing hurt the experience of watching it. The singers were featured too much over the models themselves, and each look got only a glimpse. Otherwise, I'm not complaining since it's the only TV I look forward to this year. (hah!)
I got to say however, that Karlie is not physically appropriate for being an Angel. All the promotion has not swayed me...And Monika? She was actually quite sexy because you could see her seasoned runaway figure behind that giant necklace.
Here's my Junkyard contribution of Hilary 2005-2009:
I learned a few interesting things about Hilary on the side:
- She's from the often richest town/tax code in the US (in Maryland state)
-Attended a private Catholic high school, started modeling big time at age 16
-As a teenager, she was already raking in millions from campaigns and was ranked as a top 20 moneymaker among models.

^Eniko did get a half-arsed PINK outing, a segment she was wholly unsuited for. She, like Elsa is positively designed to just be lounging around in scraps of lingerie... I really can't see a day that whatever is preventing Cintia walking will vanish - I fear that time has passed. That said, your Hilary point is apposite - she would have been (personally speaking) so much better for the show 5/6 years ago yet she's only been cast since last year where she's been considerably more "aerobicised" and gaunt as you put it.
^The 'hooked noses' thing is a new one on me. I always thought that was just used to stereotype Jews? I wonder where that has come from??? There was an allusion to The Beatles with Karlie's 'Swinging 60s London' wings, the racing car one was rather more obscure - I mean know Britain has a long and distinguished history in motor sport (and did stage the first Formula-1 Grand Prix), but I'd consider it more of a French or even Italian tradition (not forgetting the greatest driver: Argentina's own Fangio!
). But since that Rush film focussed on the popular British driver James Hunt, it might have just been designed to coincide with that?
And, honestly, it did end up all looking a little Monty Python in the end though - don't you think?!
Yeah, I should have written 'crooked' noses. I don't know- I often have that image in my head of the British joke caricature of thin, awkward looking men (eg. the family guy image or Austin Powers) and plain women that look like less attractive versions of Emma Thompson. Funnily enough, I've heard of woman saying that Australian men are tanned & hot, but this may be due to hollywood rather than real life experience...
Indeed, with motor sports it's more French and Italian. I think they may have just hitched on the publicity provided by the popular Rush film.
You know, on a tangent......British manufactured cars have a poor reputation here. (overengineered, overpriced, temperamental, and underperforming). I live near a Jaguar and Land Rover dealership and I do prefer the aesthetics of the frames however over all others (German, American, and Japanese), Personally, I find Bentleys/Rolls royce from the 90s-early 00s and older to be quite attractive looking 'large cars'.
Unfortunately I dislike the modern trend with frame design.
I missed the Monty python reference...what was it?

I've not seen the remake, but the original Evil Dead is quite a film - gory and funny! I recall that the remake was Sam Raimi (the director) approved, but then he did end up making Spiderman 3 and Drag Me To Hell - and that had a particularly unscary talking goat which just made me giggle:
The movies I mentioned were ones that I ended up thinking about long after the film was over, and made it difficult to sleep that night! The worst for that was the (original Japanese) Ringu - which I maintain as being the scariest film I've ever seen, particularly having watched it off a dodgy video tape! ![]()

Have to say though, HATED it seeing Captain Smug applauding every time Behati walked during this year's VSFS - it's put me off it all a little truth be told... ![]()

I kind of agree with you now re: Karlie. I think she's a very good model, and I like many of her editorials - but she does look exceedingly awkward at the VSFS, and is very much the Alexandra Paul/'Lt.Stephanie Holden' of the enterprise...
Monika, and a great many others too (Josephine Skriver springs to mind) pulled off a horrible costume by dint of being catwalk savvy and runway ready.
The show is always (latterly) a rushed mess. I don't know what these editors do with the month they have to piss about with it, but piss about they do and it's a hackneyed string of clichés and frantic cutting that doesn't allow you to actually see what's going on.
Somewhere amongst it all is probably a decent show, at least the audience there seem to enjoy it...
As for what I personally liked, well swings and roundabouts as Behati was featured a lot more (and got top-billing lest we forget
) but it came at the expense of copious cuts to Captain Smug and his Frat Lackeys which leaves a nasty taste in my mouth! As I surmised from the photos, Toni and Sui He were just as adorable in motion, and Elsa never disappoints (as long as she isn't asked anything
), but Cara teeters on the edge of annoying. Surprise packages were the aforementioned Josephine and Joan Smalls was damn sexy in her glances. Magda may well have been 'on the rag' but she is still a masterclass in how to smoulder... ![]()

^I just meant the immense silliness of it all!
Though there was a rather "Silly Walk" moment with Adriana in the 'British Invasion' segment - seriously, watch it again...
I'm not much of a 'car person', but I'd be inclined to go with US 60's/70's muscle cars (my father used to have a '66 Mustang, but it didn't suit the Spanish environment so he sold it
- although I drove it a few times). A Roller is still classy though, whatever.
National clichés abound! Yeah, with Family Guy you either accept that everything is fair game or it isn't - you can't pick and choose offence if you tune in... I think British guys do alright with US women though, don't they. There's always the "accent" business, but I think there must be more to it than that? Yeah, I've heard that about Aussie guys too, that's how I always picture donbot! ![]()
^Oh, I often get mistaken for Chris Hemsworth. It gets rather tiresome ![]()
Can you imagine if they did that whole segment in full-blown silly walk style? That would actually be my favourite thing ever^I just meant the immense silliness of it all!

You'll like it I'm sure, it also got pretty good reviews too, which is what made me go see it. It was weird seeing a horror flick getting a good reputation among critics.
and lol Drag Me to Hell was SO corney
So was the Evil Dead too, but it was stylishley corney. Like not laugh out loud like drag me to hell. I remember watching Evil Dead in the theatre with my friends, and ever moment was a legit "WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK?!" ![]()
Have you ever seen 30 days of Night? now THAT is a perfect thriller/horror movie, seriously a vampire movie done right. Great acting, great storyline, not cheesy. Just straight up good. Its one of those movies everybody knows about but not alot have seen, but once they see it, can't stop talking about it.
Now Japense scary movies look legit scary, I'll definetly have to look into them for a good scare. lol even though its not japanese I can't watch the Ring without getting freaked out everytime theres a phone call
^Oh, I often get mistaken for Chris Hemsworth. It gets rather tiresome
Do you :brows: :brows:

How are you Baron? Any special plans for Christmas or New Year's Eve?

^Oh, I often get mistaken for Chris Hemsworth. It gets rather tiresome
^I had you down as Mick Dundee, but maybe that's as this stemmed from ridiculous stereotyping! Bonzer...
Can you imagine if they did that whole segment in full-blown silly walk style? That would actually be my favourite thing ever
^If only they had the self-aware capacity for how brilliant and endearing that would be. Well, could be, you know they'd get most all the "Angels" to do it but would end up with Candice leaning against a wall in her lingerie and pulling sexy faces...

^Yes, I have and I did enjoy it! The setting was great - and allowed for great blood on snow graphics (itself an excellent evocation of it's 'graphic novel' origins); plus it just had brutish vampires with none of the shitty accoutrements they've picked up latterly... ![]()
How are you Baron? Any special plans for Christmas or New Year's Eve?
^These are my "plans"...
...but I suspect I'll just end up disappointed!
Failing that I'm actually off to Scotland for Hogmanay, where I shall be indulging my love of single malt whisky and doing the 'Gay Gordons'! How about you, princess?

^Oh yes, you may suggest that!
Have to say though, HATED it seeing Captain Smug applauding every time Behati walked during this year's VSFS - it's put me off it all a little truth be told...
I was a bit at question on why the heck they had to show his mug all threw out Behati's walk?! So I'm guessing this is a new trend for the show now? As each model walks out we shall now be introduced to family members, husbands, trainers, agents and of course love interests. Just makes sense no?

^It's slowly become an unfortunate VSFS trope... They did it with Anne V a couple of years ago - and Miranda/Orlando too (hey, look how well both of those turned out!
). I get that loved ones will cheer, but the constant cutting to them just smacks of an immense lack of imagination by Madoff or Done and Dusted or whoever it is that fucks up the simple pleasure of seeing a model walk up and down a runway in lingerie for me... ![]()

Hey that sounds good. So what are you going to do in Scotland?
Ralph Lauren's current flame is Valentina Z. Jennka buys it, but personally I don't! She looks very eastern european, and not anglo-saxon so it breaks up the theme. It would be more realistic if women like Valentina or Hana Soukapouka (spelling) were Russia and with Oil & Gas...
About VS/Baywatch...maybe it's for the same reason? I haven't figured it out yet but I would be interested in knowing what it is. Cara, by the way, slapped Taylor Swift's ass as she was walking back and the editors didn't cut out the part where she was doing monster faces in the end.
You mean Adriana's praying? I knows its' verbotten in some parts but half of the time I can't stand the way she poses. It usually involves something awkward as you say...a big mouth filled with big teeth, all of it reminiscent of that of a mule.
I didn't watch the filler in-between the runway parts yet, but wow.I got to say that Jessica Hart's costume hurts my eyes. Her body was fit and solid as typically but the whole getup and the background looked like it was designed to initiate a seizure..........are you getting crossed-eyed yet????? Her body looks like it's coated with something greasy, as the neon lights are reflecting..

If you check the very end of the show, both Sui he and Magda showed their 'ability' to seduce on the fly. They were both caught in the moment while backing backstage and both pulled off sexy face for the camera. This was seemingly done by intuition.
See! They show the amateurs how it is done...:
As for the show, it has an inadequately rehearsed feel and they clearly followed the model of VS 2005 + subsequent additions of their own. The impression I have it that the manager of the operation did not plan ahead thoroughly enough and make a pre-game 'fun and flirty' atmosphere. He or she must have forgotten the psychological importance of getting the girls in the right sort of mood. In the backstage footage, the models appear to be lounging around, chatting, nervous, and waiting, which IMO is not good for their performance on stage as their camera time is very brief yet they have to be continuously worked up with the right degree of spirit. Their poses are very important and this is where the 2005 show succeeded- It has to be an individual expression, and it has to be memorable. Too many models essentially did not do a special pose and thus their character in that brief moment of face time did not fuze with their costume.
Remember Karolina K in the 'nutcracker' intro? The 2005 show worked peculiarly well due to its deliberately spiritual management that was evident from the very beginning. I wouldn't be surprised if they actually worked out the steps for each and every model beforehand.
And Monika did well in spite of her costume due to to the fact that she was intentionally channeling this and doing shakes:

and wow, her height and litheness is impressive:![]()

I'm sure you'd appreciate this. And I wonder what Elsa was doing:
-----------
I'm not a car person either. I have almost no interest in them on a regular basis. So with cars, I still think my old and problematic BMW Z-3 (now sold and off my hands) is the prettiest........
I also like the discontinued shell of the Audi TT from the early 2000s...it was a early flame.. Both are equipped with engines that are not worth very much.
Overall, with cars I think it's safer to go with Japanese and American (American cars, regardless of their old, less than stellar reputation, have long since caught up and in many cases surpassed Toyota/Subaru with quality control processes, price/value and efficiency engineering)
Who knows, maybe Donny will be like Mel Gibson (Madness, idiosyncrasies > boring, untalented) in 25 years?

Aesthetically, I never really rated BMWs until the last 5-10 years - the new designs are pretty nice. I suppose Z3s were the exception - I did like those, although the Z4s are much sleeker now. TTs are sexy little packages too, although only as hardtops - I think they look horrible as convertibles. Z4s look good as both. Audis are my favourite overall though - I just recently bought an A4

American cars are something of a rarity here - you hardly see any

Valentina Z

Is that a coincidence? I wanted to ask about Nacho, as I have seen him a couple of weeks ago giving an interview in "Chelsea Lately" and was wondering how popular is he. Now I see you've given the answer, haha.
And ANOTHER wedding?!? Ahhh I wish somebody I know would be getting married so I could go to a wedding
