That's a great point about the gloves. In the combat sports, aside from the smaller divisions being generally faster, I've never been sure what goes into making someone punch faster. Its as big of a mystery to me as throwing in terms of the physical qualities that is. Its interresting that they've done so much to change the ball too . It reminds me of baseball in that they keep on talking about pitchers being bigger, stronger, faster and such while they've altered the ball so much. I don't care much for baseball, so I'm not even sure whether it benefits pitchers and batters equally or not though. That aside, I've always wondered why I didn't see more ball punching, but in my amateur efforts, I fount it not as easy as I though. With that in mind, I can only imagine how difficult it must be on the pro side of things.

I'm not sure what to say about that Byron. Maybe he's just like a roach I suppose . I definitely threw you a bone with this averagism as the likelihood of spelling both name and place wrong is a low probability one even for me . Then again, I have done worse now that I think about it .

This is 'health' related so I wonder if anybody has tried it: Has anybody gone sugar-free or gluten free for a while? Or know anybody who has?

I've been sugar free for almost two weeks (doctor's recommendation, apparently I get inflammation and a mild health problem from sugars) and I've noticed that I've been getting mild sugar withdrawal symptoms these past few days.....My mood is about 10% worse, lol. Besides this, I've been (almost) dairy free for years outside of the occasional pizza.

I've also started being gluten-free yesterday (also recommended by doctor), and will replace all wheat with non-gluten complex carbs. I've been eating brown rice, which tastes like fuuuuu..... cardboard, lol.

I rationed my sugars over two years ago (eg. no more than 40 grams a day on avg. (basically, equivalent to a single candy bar, pastry, soda, or a big cookie), and no more simple carbs like white bread) , but lately the health problem came back and I realized that I had to go all the way.

My weight has been sliding down because of this, particularly my body fat %, which was on the low side to begin with. So I'm only 139 pounds now on a wide framed 5' 10'' athletic boned body....I already have Anja Rubik's hip bones and all..:-p
