And, DAMNATION, that video is blocked on those idiotic "copyright" grounds!
Why block a trailer??? ![]()

Well, even these old political 'hero' personalities (UK conservatives-Churchill) and US-Democrat (FDR)- US Republican (Reagan) are carefully maintained until today with political propaganda like hagiographies, media spin, historical manipulation, & rhetoric. They have to be..because history does influence expectations and thus voting choice. US Academics, public intellectuals, talking heads, etc. are paid princely sums to build cases for or against the history of a certain figure- ie. thus there are Republicans that are told stories that cause them to hate FDR, love Reagan. Democrats are told stories that cause them to hate Reagan, love FDR..I assume that it's like that in the UK..though US political media is more active than most other countries..

For fun to screw people out of watching it's previewy goodness?

^ :shock:I forgot something while I was confessing Baron, that U.K. well...he's...your sonnnn.
HOLY COW!!! Now I'm in a quandary... I must confess, my gut reaction is to disown him as he's brought the family seat of Fratton into disrepute - I can't pass this title onto him!
But the other part of me feels I should nurture him, teach him the ways of his father, and my father before me - the special Baron powers of thread-making and how to create polls either seriously or comedically, but not leave the member utterly confused as to their inherent worth (well, I say that, but there's still Jade** and other such members who will never get it anyway
). Was that poll a cry for help from him Joe?

^Oh my! Jade**'s his sister (but nothing to do with me)?
I must stop cavorting with slags then!!! ![]()

^What a pleasure to see you on here again.Long time no hear wonderful Baron.. I hope you have been enjoying life my friend:)

MadnessWell here's a little bit of the twins from WCBH anyway, so you can see what I was talking about <_<

Do you travel because of work?
^He has this uncanny ability to completely inhabit the character. It doesn't look odd at all: him as a teenage boy, or a middle-aged woman. I mean, when he was playing Ja'mie on Summer Heights I never thought there was anything odd or creepy about it - which, when you think about it, it pretty much was!MadnessWell here's a little bit of the twins from WCBH anyway, so you can see what I was talking about <_<

This brain and IQ thing is really interesting. I think that brain can be trained, of course, just like a skill can be trained to almost perfection - supposing there actually IS some skill there. I know many people who have studied and "trained" their brains, and they still will be stupid for their whole life (of course, THEY think exactly the opposite). Something like - fool or educated fool is still a fool anyway". Then I know many people who aren´t very fond of studying (because they are mostly more intelligent then their teachers) but hell, they are SO wise.I´m also fascinated by IQ and EQ. The latter more. There are so many people with high IQ that will never posses such a power that people with high EQ do. I mean, there is "inteligence" and then there is "wisdom". These are two absolutely different things. Most people use to connect them to together and misuse them, but that´s wrong.

It seems a curious difference, from an outsider's point of view, that the US has it's political bias via the broadcast media alongside a fairly tame and strictly informative print media, whilst here in Argentina (and in the UK) it is very much the other way around. Our TV news is strictly factual, and people go crazy if any sense of 'taking sides' seems to be displayed; the newspapers wear their affiliations openly and you tend to read according to your leanings. To me it is more proactive to feed your own prejudices in the purchase of a newspaper than it is in it being beamed into your home with comparatively little discretion; and having seen FOX "news" (for instance) I'd, personally, find that worrying... That's not to say (of course) that 'our' system(s) are superior - it's just something I've noticed and I prefer it the other way.

^Wow, thanks for all that. I have to say that the only 'national' newspapers I've seen from the US are USA Today and The Herald Tribune - both of which I found very dry and factual, in comparison with partisan papers here...
Yes, I suppose my own politics are left leaning (although I abhor 'party' politics) - and having been born and raised under a junta I have a deep mistrust of military leadership, and the more conservative elements of right-wing governments. Having only seen FOX discussed (and often lampooned) on other networks (US and non-US), and knowing Rupert Murdoch from his UK newspapers it sits uneasily with me. Although I suspect there's far more to the network than that, I find Glenn Beck in particular incredibly inedible...

Did you hear anything about a rexamining or something of some bear bones found in Buenos Aires back in the 30s or something like that? I think they say it was like well over 3 thousand pounds and 11 feet :| . But they say that when more different predators came on the scene, the food suply shrunk and they started to get smaller and learned to eat other things. I forgot its name and where I read it, but it may have been National Geographic. But either way, I'd hate to run into something like that
, but I would love to see an illustration of some kind at least.

Lots of swearing but funny still:
